how did he do that???? I mean it's at a beach and there are wild roaming guitar fish and string rays that can kill you with one sting of their tail!!! I wonder what he fed them

On this island (Reethi Beach, Maldives) they feed the rays every day at 6pm. They have been doing it for so long now that all the fish, rays, sharks know and turn up every day at the same time. They even arrive before 6pm as they know its feeding time.

The rays are gentle and harmless. They would only ever attack you if they felt threatened. This is feeding time so they do not feel threatened and are very comfortable around the man who feeds them. Nothing at all to be scared of =)

Thats really cool that they come to the beach like that. I visited a sandbar in Grand Caymen with dozens of rays like that and they would swim all over you for food, but you get visits from sharks too? very very cool.

Yes but only young reef sharks. There are a few large guitar sharks too but not loads.

sharks are harmless..they're actually good for the environment and it's the top of the food chain ,so it keeps the whole food web balanced : D but then so far, the shark population is endangered because of over hunting just for the fin and then they dump them back into the water DEAD! so save the earth and the endangered animals: D

Couldn't agree more!! Alot of the time the shark is still alive when they are dumped back into the water so they actually end up suffocating to death slowly & painfully. Its a disgusting practice that should be stopped.
