I know in the comics Harvey becomes Two-Face when a mobster named Sal Maroni throws acid at his face and he dosn't get scarred from an explosion like in The Dark Knight or the cartoons. In Batman Forever even though the movie wasn't that great they explained how Harvey became Two-Face just like the comics did by getting acid thrown at his face. Maybe taking something from a cartoon interferes with Nolan's "realistic" approach to his films.

This was the first episode of the series I ever watched. I was 7 at the time.

Those final images, the scream, the lighting across his ruined face, the open window and flapping curtain, they've stayed in my mind ever since. This is THE scene that always comes to mind when I think of this show.

If you can believe it I only managed to find and watch the second part of this episode a few months ago, and I'm 23 now!

And the series is still as good now as it was back then.
