@LTLfilms i know you u commented on the alpha hi hats vid a while back but i just had to say alpha is actually a series of Paiste itself so u'd still be getting paist hi hats which are the best :D
@CrunchyTuesdayface "MasterSound" is Zildjians's name for "wavey-bottom" hi-hats, " while Sound Edge" is Paiste's. Paiste was the first to have these (Bonham played them) and Zildjian "copied/responded" with the "MasterSound" line. Anyone who calls the Paiste's "MasterSounds" is simply more familiar with the later Zildjian line, rather than the original "wavey-bottom" hi-hats (Paiste's Sound Edge). Sabian has a similar "Accelerator" line, but why buy "copies" when you can have "the original."
@xxxnityninexxx My point was to explain why someone might refer to these erroneously as "Mastersounds." If you're after thicker/heavier hats take a look at Paiste's Rude Soundedges...they are, however, more expensive than Alphas. Again, Paiste is the originator of the "wavey-bottom" hi-hats...the others came along later. As they say "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!"
what are you doing to them?!?!?!

@Paisteconvert Because Paiste's Sound Edge hi hat cymbal is thinner than Mastersound's, Accelerator's and Soundwave's (Meinl)
