So, if some African study made claims that FEMALE circumcision prevents HIV, would they also be promoting female circumcision? Hell no! We need a worldwide end to unnecessary, harmful, unethical and sometimes fatal circumcision. Stop lying to African men, circumcision does NOT prevent any disease.

This program is an insulting waste of money. You don't have to mutilate a man to tell him he needs to use condoms and practice safe sex. I mean, do you seriously think people are that stupid? Waste millions to mutilate an entire population, just to tell them to continue as they were? And expect them not to gain a false sense of security and become complacent in their condom use? This campaign is insulting and dangerous. America is basically funding the spread of HIV.

I'm absolutely disgusted that THIS is how my tax dollars are being used. The "scientific evidence" is NOT strong. What do you say to the data where both circumcision and HIV are prevalent? Studies show that HIV was higher among th ecircumcised in Cameroon, Ghana, Lesotho, Malawi, Rwanda and, Swaziland. What if people don't want to get circumcised? What options do you have for THEM? Or is circumcision the only option? This whole campaign is seriously idotic, insulting and dangerous.

According to Malaysian AIDS Council vice-president Datuk Zaman Khan, more than 70% of the 87,710 HIV/AIDS sufferers in the country are Muslims. In Malaysia, most, if not all Muslim men are circumcised, whereas circumcision is uncommon in the non-Muslim community. 60% of the Malaysian population is Muslim, which means that HIV is spreading in the community where most men are circumcised at an even faster rate, than in the community where most men are intact.

In the 2010 Global AIDS report released by UNAIDS in late November, the Philippines (where most men are circumcised) was one of seven nations in the world which reported over 25 percent in new HIV infections between 2001 and 2009, whereas other countries have either stabilized or shown significant declines in the rate of new infections. Among all countries in Asia, only the Philippines and Bangladesh are reporting increases in HIV cases, with others either stable or decreasing.

80% of the male population in America is already circumcised. Yet, we have higher HIV transmission rates than many countries in Europe where most men are not. Circumcision is anything but "new." People have been trying to justify it for how long? 2,000 years? There is so much real-world evidence that shows all the latest "studies" are hand-picked pro-circumcision carp. The promotion of circumcision is a sick, disgusting waste of money. I simply can't believe how ignorant my gov't is being.

Circumcision removes the most sensitive part of a man's penis. The five most sensitive areas of the penis are on the foreskin. The transitional region from the external to the internal foreskin is the most sensitive region of the fully intact penis, and more sensitive than the most sensitive region of the circumcised penis.
