It's one of the ignition coils, if the car has over 100k I would recommend changing all of them the clicking will stop n you will notice a the difference in performance
If the car is near 100k miles it sounds like the vanos gasket seal, i had mine done but it wasnt as lout as yours, check for oil leakage and smoke after driving
HI THERE MY FRIEND, HOW IS EVERYTHING GOING? I HAVE A BRIEF QUESTION, I HAVE A 2004 ZHP, AND WHAT IS A GOOD OIL TO USE? AND HOW MANY MILES BEFORE CHANGING IT AGAIN? THANKS
my e46 makes a similar noise but only when i have it on Drive and Reverse and not on neutral or park. could it be oil? either way, i will check it to cancel that out.
@jeep4x4055 ah yes I did find out, sadly, low oil. see the problem is, my oil level sensor is shot, so when I get a chance I'll replace it and hopefully this problem doesn't happen again. If you got the same sound, change your oil or throw another quart of oil in, check your oil level as well, read up on how to do that as well if your not 100% on how to check it. Let me know how it goes!
