Okay, that was just freaking AWESOME! So what happened to the sea monster puppet? Was it made of latex and it rotted away? I can see why this won an award.
Nice. I like the bit with the monster tugging on his shirt while he's climbing the cliff. Ah, the wonders of super-8. Can you even get the film processed these days?
I just jused a super 8 Bell and Howell. The kind that comes in the metal case. I had to adjust the frame by turning a wheel on the projector. Plus the bulb was dim, because it was on pause mode.
WOW! that was really good, i liked the style and everything, awesome mix of stop motion and real footage, really sweet, im also gonna release some more stopmotion this week btw :D
please get ahold of me. I would like to put your film in our upcoming festival. We really enjoyed your film.great job.

hi tim, this is a great movie I especially love the sea monster. how large is it? hope to see more from you.

Hi Gragorathegiantsnowb,
I'm glad you liked the film.
The sea monster was about 12 inches long from snout to tail, as I recall.
Unfortunately he no longer exsists, except in the movie.

Thanks for the comments,
Sure you can. Part of this film was processed in NY at Pac labs.
All of the Kodachrome stocks, and sound film stocks are no more. Kodak has a new Ectrachrome and two B/W stocks, and some Negative stock as well.

Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. It was a lot of fun to make, and brought back many memories of doing this stuff when I wore a younger man's coat.

WOW!
That was cool!
I bet you used one of those frame-by-frame projectors to blend in the live-action with the animation.
Was it a Selecta-Frame Projector?

Hey Matt,
Thanks for watching.
I wish I had a nive projector to do that work.
I just jused a super 8 Bell and Howell. The kind that comes in the metal case. I had to adjust the frame by turning a wheel on the projector. Plus the bulb was dim, because it was on pause mode.
I will check out the projector you mentioned.
Thanks again,
Tim
