@WSenator1 - Thanks for asking what happened to Diva the German Shepherd. She is alive and well as of this post. You can rest assured that she did not become roadkill. It seems that Diva has become a popular addition to my video. I think Diva would love to receive more fanfail from her viewers. I will be sure to pass your comments on to her.
@i1custd - Glad to hear that. I've been around dogs much of my life, and have loved (most of) them, and I always wanted to have a German Shepherd, but never had the chance. So I'm glad Diva is still kicking. Have a good day!
Hey tazzman the bh car/truck sits in the Ralph Foster musuem near Branson Mo. the show producer donated to the musuem after the show cancelled, Its still there! had my pic taken sitting in it!
I will have to beg to differ. Yes it was an Oldsmobile, but it was most certainly a truck as it was originally built. These kinds of trucks were made until the early 1920's. The actual truck that was used in the "Beverly Hillbillies" series belonged to my grandfather M. L. Foley of North Hollywood, CA.
Actual quote from George Barris...The Beverly Hillbillies was very popular. It was the longest show we had on t.v. and to find any car from the Ozarks in Southern California was kinda hard and I was driving down the 10 freeway and I go by a little town, Fontana in the San Bernadino area, and there was a feed store and this old car was whacked in half and was sitting there, a 1922 Oldsmobile, and I took pictures of that and I run back to the studio and I said, 'Hey guys, lets make this.'

Is that the same MAKE & MODEL as in the Beverly Hillbilles TV show 1962-71?

Believe it or not: The original is a modified OLDSMOBILE touring car, 1928 or 1929 vintage. It was not born a "truck."

If you do look close, you can see how the back upper seat was added on. I wonder if that vehicle is still around today?
