  • hola

  • who watching this because of king and jr from wwe

  • actually I think Reese (Dani) is prettier then the sister.

  • I remember being 10 or 11 when I first saw this movie and thinking how cute Court was. I still love this movie, I just wish they would put it on tv more like they used to. Thanks for putting it on youtube! :)

  • Omg..I've seen this on TV before but I never knew Dani was played by Reese! She was so beautiful then and now and such an amazing actress.

  • aww really good movie jason is so fit and so sad he dies but disappointed that the sister slept with him even when she knew how much her lil sister liked him

  • A brilliant piece of American cinema. Roger Ebert called it Robert Mulligan's most perfect work, and I tend to agree. And Mulligan was the director of To Kill a Mockingbird. Mulligan's style was just so well suited to this story and his depth of understanding of adolescence so profound, that together with masterful management of emotion, he pulled off a masterpiece with this, his final work. He never made another film after this one.

  • He should have just picked one girl and told the other the real reason he didn't want to be with her.

  • court should be on 1000 ways to die.

because he shouldn't have tried to get his hat off that tree branch when he was on the lawn mower.

  • it was'nt a lawn mower it was a tractor

  • she looks just like ava

  • "He says it's a lot easier finding the Lord out fishin' than in any church he's ever been to."

    "I think he's right."

I'd have to second that, for the most part!

  • I love this movie. I watch it all the time! :)

  • This movie is not a "chick flick". The director of To Kill A Mockingbird, The Stalking Moon, Summer of '42, The Nickel Ride, The Other and Fear Strikes Out did not make "chick flicks" -- he made Serious Works of Art.

  • Reese Whiterspoon is so pretty in the movie, and in REAL life !! I love her

  • ahh!! this is on youtube??!! this is my favorite movie of all time i cry so hard every single time her older sister cries on the stairs god i love this movie you can tell reese is so good right from the get go

  • I Watched This Movie Last Night August 18 2011 And I Loved It :)

  • Gosh, I remember watching this film a long time ago. I didn't even realize that the little girl was even Reese.

  • my alllllllllltime favoriteee movie<3

  • Robert Mulligan directed my favorite movie of all time, 'To Kill A Mockingbird'. 'The Man in the Moon' was the last film he directed. He passed away in 2008.

  • This is a GREAT movie. It also proves that Reese Witherspoon is a natural actress. Her portrayal of Dani is very good. But keep in mind that she's playing a part of a country girl, much like her own growing up in Tennessee. Then she carries this with her to play June Carter in WALK THE LINE. Not much of a stretch.

  • @taypar11

True. It's easier to do what you know

  • @taypar11 Meh, she does OK when she stick to weepy-cryee chick flicks........bleeech.

  • I love this movie, im only 15, and i first saw it when i was like 12 and i have watched it probably over 10 times. :D

  • @nbbfan1429 Hahaha, you must be a girl..............bawling your eyes out over some sappy, weepy-cryee chick flick..................HAHHAHA. No wonder men are in charge.

  • @tickyul yea im a girl, and actually i have never ever creid over this movie. quit mistaking your self for me. men arent in charge, girls are just as good as guys are. you're probably just saying that cuz you CANT get a girl. so stfu. Thankyouu. :)

  • @nbbfan1429 THANK U FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES WITH ME:)!!!!!!!

  • @animemaster6880 Hahaha, you must be of the dumber sex too..........all weepy and cryee over some sappy dreck.

Go rent The Time Travelers Wife..........a real romantic stinker.........lock yourself in your room..............and don't wear out too many hotdogs.

  • @tickyul Shut up u jerk! start living in the 21st centery why dont ya!

  • @animemaster6880 who said that old person sayin want be in 1950s

  • @tickyul Ironically the script was written by a man.

  • @babehurst88 Ironically the man had to be totally fruity in the manties to write some dreck that bad. Ironically it is only women who watch this kind of crap..........oh, I guess some men are FORCED to watch too. This stinker of a movie is the perview of chicks, a sappy romance. Go ahead chicks, lock yourself in your rooms and bawl your eyes out.........just don't wear out too many hotdogs.

  • @tickyul Hm..Funny. I was going to say the same thing to you.

  • @babehurst88 Yeah really, men for the most part DO NOT like crap movie of the category called Chick Flicks. You see , men are smarter than chicks, we do not have a desire to see stinkers that cause you dummies to bawl your eyes out. Remember that Bananner Felller in Time Travelers Wife.............well, he would not give you the time of day.

  • @tickyul For someone who claims to hate them, you seem to know an awful lot about Chick Flicks. I myself haven't seen the time traveler's wife. Care to fill me in on the "dreck" that is this film?

  • reese witherspoon is a great actress!

  • MAKES ME CRY EVERYTIME!

  • i saw this a long time ago i even forgot the name im glad i found now i can watch it :D

  • i remember my mom made me watch this movie and i thought it was gonna b super stupid then i found myself crying at the end and loving it, im so gald you posted it thx!

  • @Pulliplover1120 Ha Ha, you must be a dimwitted chick.................crying over a weepy-cryee chick flick. Tell your mom to quit pushing dreck onto you.

  • @tickyul sorry not everyone can be as heartless as you

  • @tickyul It's funny how strongly you feel on hating chick flicks yet you waste your time commenting on this and starting your little fights here so pathetic if you ask me >.>

  • @shawty25mj Why, is this world so touchy-feely.....disagreement is just oh-so horrible...........take it away...........LOL. I come here to point out how dreadful movies can be.........if they are directed towards over-emotional chicky-poos. Go lock yourself in your room and put on a sappy chick-flick......and bawl your eyes out. A real romantic one............HAHA......very weepy and cryee...........and don't wear out too many hotdogs.

  • @tickyul no one ever said anything about it always being touchy feely, but it is good once in a while to see that, like in movies, even though its not always true in real life. and if you don't fucking like them DON'T WATCH THEM, no one is forcing you! gosh. and why do i need to lock myself anywhere, i'm not you! who spends his miserable life commenting on things that don't really matter to you! and hotdogs? uhm no thanks

  • @shawty25mj ya no wat ive noticed this thing or person watever jerk face person(tickyul), keeps saying the same thing over and over again... wat a loser lol they have nothing better to do in theyre life! :D

  • @Pulliplover1120 I know! If they don't like it, all they have to do is simply not watch it :0 lol

  • this has to be the best movie ever! Reese is such an amazing actress

  • oh my gosh i feel like i'm watching Reese's daughter instead of Reese. they look identical in this movie and now

  • its weird seeing reese so young, such an amazing actress! how old was she back then?

  • @cloeandhan reese was 14 during filming and 15 when the movie came out in theaters.

  • @RetroForMe really?! :O thanks :)

  • @RetroForMe do you know how old was court back then???

  • 5:50 i think i have that pan...

  • I love this movie... Especially Jason London aka Court... Follow him on Twitter. I don't think he is certified.

  • duuude i love this movie

  • this came out when I was 18. Jason London was hot. Reese was cute.

  • i remember seeing this movie when i was 12 and i haven't seeing it until now, Reese looked so cute here :) Good Movie!!

  • @jesslynne83 Resse looked divine in this movie, she did a great job acting too, easy to see why she has had such a great career.

  • I saw this movie in a moment very difficult of my life, and the movie is TOTALLY BEATIFUL.

  • goddammit I was looking for andy kaufman

  • Why are you bloody liberals always trying to take our cars away ? If you want to take the train, bus, rickshaw , go right ahead.

  • My feely good movie <3

  • when i first watched it i didnt even realise it was reese!

  • There's a swimming hole nearby here. Dare me to go swim naked ans hope no-one else turns up?

    Haha

  • gorgeous movie...

  • Ohhh....I just suddenly remember this classic movie! The very 1st time I ever saw Reese Witherspoon. I was in grade school back then and this movie really makes me cry....I miss this!!! *_*

  • @jhengtoyhorada I hate weepy-cryee chick flicks.......but Reese was pretty hot in this movie....so I gritted it out.

  • @tickyul ....yah....i really agree to that! I also like Reese....pretty & hot...*_*

  • @jhengtoyhorada That was her first movie.....wow, she did a great job. She grew up to be really pretty.....unlike the Olsen twins who look like little smurfs.

  • @tickyul . . . Watttaahhh lil' smurfs!?!?! geeeee.....

Yah, 'twas her 1st movie! She was indeed amazing ever since. I like most of Reese movies but this movie is one of my fave of her. ♥♥♥

  • @jhengtoyhorada No, when the O Twins were you....I think everybody thought they were going to be really hot. But they still look like little kids. Now that Brooke Shields in Pretty Baby......wow, that was a good movie.

  • a movie that touched my heart before and it will always be, people thought that by danny's age she cant have real love or real feelings towards someone, but they are wrong, for I am now turning 38 but never that I forget the man I have love 25 years ago.

  • kiero verla pero en español porfisss....alguien q la suba

  • my alltime favourite movie ever since i was 12 and first saw it on tv , even though the guy dies i still love it idk why :p

  • @insidius87 Are you insane, why would you say that??? She was great in this movie, even if it was a chick flick.

  • Comment removed

  • @insidius87 Are you a guy.....ask a question like that about a beauty like her.......maybe you are fruity in the panties..........maybe?????

  • Comment removed

  • @insidius87 You are out of your mind, all of the beautiful parts on Danni and you lust after her stinky feet....LMFAO. Would her feet be more desireable to you if she just walked through a pile of dogshit???

  • Comment removed

  • @insidius87 Again, you are totally insane, maybe you can be an advisor for The Dear Leader in North Korea. Uh......yeah.....you find her stinky the best part of her body....wow, I just do not get it. Her face is not as much of a turn on......wow, what universe are you in. Do you JO to a piece of Limburger cheese? How about Miley Cyrus......you find her repulsive..........except for her feet when they are covered with mud and toe jam.............WTF?????

  • Comment removed

  • @insidius87 Ok, I heard that Dani's sister had a horrific fungal infection on her feet for the whole movie, her feet smelled like horseshit for the whole filming of the movie......this fact must turn you on. Please give me a little explanation as to what specifically turns you on about feet.....come on......be specific......I just do not get it.

  • @insidius87 - Don't you hate it when trolls take up your precious time? I mean, these "people" get in the way of what's really important here on YouTube, and that's watching the video at hand!

    Ignore these people; they're only trouble-makers ...

    Cheers!

  • Dude, did you misread my reply? I think you did because your response of "as if being on youtube was a precious time, it's not a job anyway, besides I'M NOT a troll ok.." doesn't quite make sense.

Also, where is that reply on this board? I couldn't find it to make this particular response, so I had to find another comment of yours to write this ...

By the way, I consider all of my time precious, no matter what I'm doing. If I'm watching a movie on YouTube, that time is precious ...

  • @Brooke684 i just removed my comments, i don't think there's a point anymore in asking the same thing, i just wanted an answer about that, it's not being troll

  • Using a fork on a frying pan to scramble eggs?!?! O.o

  • @TheCarolinaDoll why rip she isnt dead

  • @TheCarolinaDoll What....she dieded and is dead???

  • The last film and last masterpiece of Robert Mulligan's great filmmaking career. Oddly enough, Mulligan's most famous film, "To Kill A Mockingbird", also begins with the sound of a younger girl humming over the soundtrack.

  • thanks for putting this movie on youtube:)

  • And no, I did not find the 14 year old Danni extremely attractive and hot, that is sick.

  • @tickyul But you may find the AGV trainset, n700 series trainset, CRH380A trainset, ICE3 trainset, or E5 series trainset attractive. Good news. They've elected to start building the first test section between Borden and Corcoran. This route is an excellent place to test trainsets and use as a pilot for the rest of the system as it is less populated and less expensive to build through. Like wiring. Wire the basic circuit, then add the extras. If the whole system never materializes,

  • @th3gtr Uh, would you care to comment on the movie, that is the subject of my posts on this particular vid, maybe you could take a hint. You are obsessed with a 100 billion dollar pink elephant.

  • @tickyul The movie? Okay, a comment will do I guess. I disagree with you. I think that girl is very attractive. Now then, I have been looking at a report about the effects of station placement in the surrounding areas of stations of the CHSR network. So far, it looks generally okay. Although, the planned station in Modesto could be a problem b/c it's a station that's not close to a downtown area. But, I have looked at the Sacramento station area. A new development of office, business, and

  • @th3gtr Do you hate this country, want to see it fall further into destruction????Take a hint, you are advocating for the further downfall of this once fine country. If this thing is such a great deal.....why won't a PRIVATE entity build it????? Ameritards prefer to drive their cars, don't you understand that, we are not Japan or Europe.

  • @tickyul I support this country, and I'm suggesting that we direct our future transportation demands in a way that meets an economy of an increasingly fast-paced, efficient, and technology-driven world. Actually, Private entities are investing in this. 26.7% of the funding for this project($10-12 billion) is coming from private investment. If Americans prefer to drive their cars, then why did they vote to build it in 2008? And plus, that's a primitive argument. Okay, so you prefer to drive your

  • @th3gtr Ok, then support what people want....more fricken roads. And no, I do not think Danni is hot in this movie, that is sick.

  • @tickyul Do people want more roads? I mean, they voted for Proposition 1A in 2008 right? And besides, more roads are an unsustainable way of transportation. Sick? What do you mean sick? I think she is attractive. That's it. I don't see what's wrong with that. I mean, she's not of dating age, but she's still pretty. Calling the fact that 50,000 people die every year on American roads population control sounds more sick to me than the former.

  • @th3gtr 50k dead a year, well that is a bad thing??? I mean hey, we are letting in 1 million illegals a year, might as well have a decrease in population some way. You have to accept the fact, the United States Of Ameritard is a car country, we prefer to commute, for the most part in our own vehicles.

  • @tickyul Are you serious?! You don't think 50,000 people losing their lives every year to car crashes is a bad thing?! Americans did not always commute by car. We had a magnificent national railroad system in the first half of the 20th century. Every major city in the United States used to have a light-rail system and guess which city had the biggest? Of all cities, it was Los Angeles. People choose what is the most convenient for them. If rail becomes more convenient, people will use it.

  • @tickyul You are not supporting your statements, such as "we prefer to commute . . . in our own vehicles" (tickyul 2011), with valid evidence. Without evidence, they are just blatant statements. Preferring something is not an excuse for causing all the negative effects of mass automobile transportation. That's like keeping all the lights on in your house all day long because of a personal preference. But, is it good for conserving energy or keeping your PGnE bill low? No.

  • @tickyul Again, what's the difference between light-rail and high-speed rail? What are you ideas on how to handle the projected increase in demand of transportation in the coming decades? What mass transportation method will be relatively free from price fluctuations of petroleum for use as fuel? $87.2 billion in productivity lost to traffic congestion, 4.2 billion hours of delay, 28 billion gal of fuel wasted, and the avg. driver spending at least 40 hours in traffic congestion each year. Solve

  • @th3gtr Build more highways so I do not have to commute with insane people. I mean hey, the one of the reasons working folks.......... for the most part...........do not take public transit is due to the fact that you have a lot of dreck on public transit......why will the choo-choo be different. And trust me, I know, I drove public buses in Seattle for 11 years....mostly rolling bum wagons.....trains will be the same.

  • car. But, is that a reasonable argument against the fact that 50,000 Americans lose their lives to auto-related accidents each year, $87.2 billion in productivity being lost b/c of traffic congestion, 4.2 billion hours of delay, 28 billion gal of fuel wasted, and the avg. driver spending at least 40 hrs in traffic congestion every year? Does the Shinkansen or TGV have those kinds of delays or waste energy like that? People will choose whatever is more convenient for them.

  • @th3gtr Population control, we have to have it some way.

  • @tickyul living space is planned. Already, there are positive effects from this project. Imagine the economic benefits from this project. But, we should put more effort into connecting surrounding areas to the stations. We have to improve our feeder networks to bring people to the stations of CHSR and to generally transport them all over. It will probably start off along the busiest roads. Then, as the system gets used more and more, it can expand.

  • @tickyul then Amtrak, BNSF, and UP will be able to use the section for faster services. The test section has something to lean back on.

  • cant believe kourt picked maureen over danni.

    not cool.

  • @eshilling1413 No crap, Danni was a TEN+.....uh, Maureen.....not so much.

  • @eshilling1413 ikr?!

  • @pinz2022

    well said

  • I remember this movie. I fell in love with it the very first time I saw it :D

  • @OmGzXX

I remember it like it was yesterday. The moment I saw it I knew Reese Witherspoon was going all the way. She just oozed character. I knew that accent was real and I was worried that her roles would be limited if she couldn't get a handle on it.

  • @OmGzXX I fell in love with Reese!

  • oh shoot no part 2 ...:(

  • i love how its introducing Reese Witherspoon and now shes like so sucessful, Reese you're awesome!

    Where's part 2?

  • do Dani's feet smell??

  • (SIGH) SOOOO many memories. I used to own this movie! :)

    Love it.

    Thanks so much for uploading.

    HUGZ!!

  • i love this movie!!!!!!

  • I remember watching this a long time ago. It reminds me of summer, childhood, torrid, sleepy summer afternoons and being happy. Reese Witherspoon's performance is indeed stellar for a kid her age (back then). However, why did they cast this actress as Maureen? isn't she supposed to be beautiful? i mean no disrespect but this girl is downright ugly! reese would have been such a better choice if she was a bit older....

thanks for uploading by the way! xoxo

  • @MarieVonDoll "Downright ugly" ? Really? I feel sorry for anyone who only thinks women with supermodel potential are beautiful.

  • Comment removed

  • @curvy71 lol, i don't think so, althou the title of both movies are similar.

  • @programmer1905 i sort of realized that after watching the 6th part on here.i wanted to delete my comments after i realized that this movie isn't about Andy Kaufman.i guess i missed one.

  • i love this movie

  • weepy-cryee chick flick......bleeeech!!!!

  • i heard its REALLY sad

the guy she is in love with falls for her older sister and all because of age

  • This movie draws you in and then rips your heart out.

  • This movie was shot in my home town. I was also in this movie!

  • this is such a great film. Why did it only win 2 minor awards?

  • I'm so happy no one has disliked this awesome movie! Thanks for the uplaod!

  • i keep getting confused on if it's Jeremy london or jason london in this movie....i think it's jason....hmmm.... sooooo hard to tell them apart..gah

  • @BrookiePie06 They used both of them in the movie

  • Ah, a young Sam Watertson.

  • Jason London could've been such a big star. Pity.

  • superb movie.... must watchable.. i just enjoyed this movie.... sometimes i got tears too..... great movie

  • court=hottt

  • fis is old as fuh

  • Why does the older sister take off all of her underwear to go to bed? i understand taking her bra off, but why would she take off her panties to sleep?

  • @kag1985 cuz shes a whore and she wants everybody to know it..like she was taking her man away from her
