Hi I love this pattern, however when I follow it, my hexagon is curling. I watch the video and yours is sitting nice and flat. I am getting the shape, and I end up the same place you do. am I doing something wrong? Help please, because I want to make a blanket using this shape.
For those who are having trouble getting their hexagon to lay flat, try doing "1dc, ch2, 1dc" in the corners instead of "2dc, ch 2, 2dc". Worked great for me :)
i have just done my first hexagon, its so easy thanks to you. I am also continuing with my granny squares using up scraps of yarn, and have joined these together and am continuing in a square all the way round, Couldn't have done it without your vids. xx
I'm having the same problem as Nilda475- my hexagon wants to fold in on itself. The stitches are the same size. Would making the inside looser help it to be more even? Thanks! Another great post!

This is nice, I'm envisioning a continuous hexagon in my head and trying to see how this would look as a giant afghan-hexagon. Or maybe a whole bunch of them stitched together to make an afghan.
I think what I'll do is use yarn scraps to make hexagons, and when I get done with enough they'll be sewn together :]
I did it; easy; but my pattern is too waxy; does not lay flat! Kindly advise the reason for this. I want to make an afghan for my grandchildren's bed. Nilda
I can crochet but mine never turns out as nice as yours does! I think it has something to do with the tension. I have tried to adjust but everything I make ends up looking lop sided. :(
@christyfaught If you are new to crochet, it may be stitch consistency, which is tension related. Just keep practicing and your stitches will start to be the same in size.
@tjw1963 I think that's the problem. I think that I will have to just keep trying. I have the same problem with knitting sometimes... So I'll just have to watch how I hold my yarn. Can you maybe do a tips and tricks video on tension? :)
i have a deaf friend who wants to learn to crochet but she lives far from me and i don't have the equipment to make vids for her...would you concider doing a 'beginners' tutorial in slow motion with subtitles? hundreds of deaf people would be able to learn so much from that one thing....what do you think? she would be so greatful to learn form the master!
Hey Teresa! I love the new Hexagon;=)! If I did a blanket out of those little Hexagons, would I add them together in the end or while doing the last side of one Hexagon? I can imagine that a colourful blanket out of these Hexagons would be gorgeous!

That pattern was so easy. I plan on making a baby blanket by just crocheting a large hexagon blanket. Would that work?
