  • I want to go here but there´s any writing summer program for teens?

  • I'm going to the New York film Academy next YEAR!!!!

  • "SHUT THE FUCK UP." Lmfao.

  • I'm dutch, and just 15. But I would love to go there. Just wanna put my life into acting, although I don't have ANY experience...

  • haha this was funny. I want to go to NYU but im also looking into NYFA. I understand NYFA is cheaper, but wouldnt it "look better" to be going to a college. Sorry if there is some common sense stuff involoved here, but im only 14..

  • I want to commit my life to acting and/or film making. Is this a good academy to start off from scratch?

  • I am an aspiring film maker. i wanna write my own scripts, shoot, direct, and edit them also. I wanna do anything and everything that involves film. I love the art, it is my calling. I have fresh ideas, wonderful characters, and new plots that no one has ever heard of yet. I write scripts at home using Celtx, but i want my scripts to come to life. I wanna know if this is the school for me and how it works. or if there are any contests i can enter or anything. I am fifteen years old.

  • The cricket effects was a nice touch.

  • i think this is one of the most important school of the world

  • I would like to study there for a summer first and then who knows, maybe studying one year or so. I'm more into the writing (still learning english) stuff ¿is this a good school for someone who doesn't know anything of filming?

  • @cpearl004 You do not need any experience to attend our programs! We only require that you are able to speak conversational English well to keep up in your classes.

  • lmao

  • Is this a school more for directors? cuz i wanna b an actor,,, which is the best: NYCDA, AADA, or NYFA?

  • @emiliopenazepedak sorry i can't help but to say YMCA :D pls dont hate me :D

  • do people that go to this academy can actually become a big time movie director..?? thats my dream right now and i wanna chase it ..some1 answer this

  • is it a rip off ,this school?

  • @aiiKaramBa no its the real deal trust me

  • @aiiKaramBa yes

  • Is it really really hard to get into this school?

  • @VickRick123 no, not at all

  • Well, I know about 80 of the people who are there right at the moment, all students who live in the same complex, actors, directors, lighting, and I can tell you - they are all loving it, having the time of their lives working with the best equipment and awesome facilities. I am just saying - sometimes `what you hear`isn`t the same as `what you experience``. Unless you have been there yourself and all the bad experiences you mention - I don`t think it is fair to comment.

  • Everyone has their opinion - but your obviously the one with the very strong bias. some will have amatuer films at the end if there was no talent to begin with - common sense...

  • sorry totally disagree. Anyone who wants to be working with in the industry from the first day in class - NYFA is one of the best. If you are like my son, and don't want to do all the english, math etc classes that come with the all rounder universities - then go to a film school

who specilaizes in film. If you want the best school in North America at the moment it is actually Vancouver Film School - they have placed more students in industry than ANYONE ELSE and have the best reputation

  • didn`t say I was right - I said I disagreed with you. I dont`have any bias - my son was offered 4 scholarships at all excellent schools and chose NYFA because it was the best for him. He is on a scholarship so I didn`t pay 25k..... he has been working with feature film directors who have noticed his work, not just teachers.

  • @littlenickyn holyy... well thank you sooo much for all the info I will be sure to take your advice and create some of the best films i can possibly think of! thank you

  • @littlenickyn okay thanks but I'm looking for more directing and less acting. does anyone happen to know what school Ridley Scott graduated from? just out of curiosity

  • or if ur lucky, AFI

  • well... some people are better teachers than filmmakers etc... ur seeing it with a pessimistic eye. At the end is all up to you. some of these teachers have their own project so dont judge or encapsulate a film school based on this.

  • That's hilarious =) I got the Brett Ratner grant and I am in acting right now and it is so great!

  • Im graduating this Week on Friday in NYFA in NYC yay!

  • congratulations and good luck

  • This guy was part of Prison Break which was a great success Bret is a very good producer

  • I'm going to NYFA this summer, ah I can't wait!

  • how hard is it to get in? please tell me i wanna get in soo bad but i dont know what to do!

  • if anyone is going to nyfa in september 2009 contact me im lookin for room mates
