  • Have you been able to use any oraganic dye since your reaction? I suffer from ppd allergy as well... Same kind of skin reaction. It's torture. I have seen the product Sanotint. Wonder of you know anything about it..??

  • omg thank you som much for this video i had an allergic reaction ..ive always tried to go red but everytime i try it i would be itchy as hell and i would quickly go wash off my hair i did the patch waited for 72 hrs but nothing happnd so i would put the dye on my hair and ohh god tht itched bad i swear im not dying my hair anymore this was very helpful thnk you take care:)

  • I have been dyeing my hair for 20 years.....suddenly I am allergic! My head was itiching SO BAD ......I will never use anything on my hair again.

  • Happened to me as well.It was Bigen. I had been using for 5 years without any problem. But my latest hair dyeing with it caused all my neck lymph nodes swollen and my neck movements restricted,my scalp and neck itching unstoppably.I had to get a loading dose of prednisolone plus a load of other medicine.Still my neck skin is itchy. I am really heart broken since I have no way to cover my gray hair.I wear pure black colour.

  • lol i can use blond but when i use dark hair dye my head swells sooo much it was so gross i had to go to the dr and get steriods to make the swelling go down!!! was awful! not worth it at all!!!!

  • i have natural hair, beeen natural for a year and a half. i got my first blow out with a black hair rinse 2 weeks ago. my scalp itched sooo bad. i scratched until i saw blood,it was the worse ever. know i am having problems with dryness. every time i wash, my scalp turns white after drying. nothinghelps. the color wasnt worth it. i should have stuck to henna.

  • Datz wht happen to me... It last abtt 2 wrkz of pain in Ma nick...

  • im 14 and didnt do the patch test and of course i got an allergic reaction. looking back now i realise it was stupid. but i went to the doctor the next day and the dye had actually burned my scalp. my hair has recovered but the worst thing was it was semi permanent dye and my hair didnt even change colour.

  • I dyed my hair the other day and I have started to itch around my head, and just last night my head started to swell up around my forehead and my nose mostly.. what did you do? it really hurts :( thanks for this video

  • have you colored your hair since?

  • CHUCKY!!

  • What about Semi-permenent dyes?

  • @EthanCole15 yes it can happen with any dye always do the patch test : )

  • chucky

  • I just dyed my hair on saturday night and woke up to a swollen face and itchy scalp. I have clear liquid oozing out from scabs and my ear (were it's flaky). I didnt go to the hospital until today to get a shot, and they gave me some medicine, hopefully the swelling goes down back to normal by wednesday :S

  • I've had the reaction since December 2010 and am on a 30 day schedule for Prednisone (steroid). It's on my scalp and my abdomen. It feels like a mliion little knives constantly poking my scalp; it itches like you can't believe and the clear liquid is gross. My doctor and dermatologists said the same thing; once you have a reaction, that's pretty much it. No more dying - natural grey or wigs for me. 2 mos and not healed yet.

  • omg I know your pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did a patch test.......... still broke out :( feels horrible mine was all over my body, and I mean ALLLLL over my body, I have asthma so at moments it was hard for me to breathe. it took me a month and a half for it to settle down, now I have to apply this cream every 3 days or my skin will re break out. i'm gonna miss my black hair but its soooo not worth it :( girls BEWARE it can happen to you!

  • Hello I just got herbatint black hair dye and I guess it DOEs have this ppd in it but it has like 00.8 in it or whatever and I did the patch test on my fore arm at 6:30 pm and now it's 2:30 am and I still have had NO reactions but after watching your video I put some on the side of my neck and a little on a bit of hair about 30 mins ago. How long do I have to leave this crap on my skin??? Plz answer ASAP!!!!

  • I posted a video about this too! I had a very very bad reaction to Revlon's ColorSilk, I used a new colour and had one, I just thought it was that particular colour. Then I used the same colour I had always used and it did it too. I think they changed the ingredient they used. I called and complained and they sent me money.

  • @FashioneseGlamazon well the doctor said that it doesnt matter which hair dye once your allergic you are allergic to all of them it really sucks no more hair dye for me never again will i do this

  • @ANGIEfromAtoZ I used a different one and it was fine. I guess it was just Revlon for me. I had to get Cortisone shots in my scalp for about 3 weeks after I used that stupid stuff.

  • @FashioneseGlamazon wow im glad i didnt put it right on my scalp my doctor said that was a good thing im never going to dye my hair again he said i think your brave for using another one im glad your okay tho cant wait to see your next vid: )
