QUESTION: If an internal combustion engine uses it's alternator to produce electricity to recharge the battery and power things like lights and whatnot, why do these electric cars NOT have a self recharging system? I mean the wheels are spinning right? Why can't they also turn a generator? These are are exclusive to a certain type of consumer. I mean if you live in an apartment, where can you plug your car in? You'd have to be a home owner. Because the car doesn't recharge itself.
