what Chief Justice Roberts and his conservative Supreme Court majority have done is to overcome a century-old democratic tradition in the United States in granting a constitutional right to business corporations and to banks, (they are the ones with a lot of money), to use their enormous resources to not only participate in debates about public issues, but also, and above all, to de facto dictate the election of candidates of their choice to public office.
I dont believe there ought to be no govt in the short term, long term yes, but there needs to be bottom up democracy of the populace first to deal with all the problems the elites created. We have top down democracy.
@Marly61 I see what you're saying. And I agree. But how does one make it the other way round without removing government's coercion? To me, cutting the government spending and regulations is only viable way - no matter who is in power, government is like a cancer that wants to grow. And let all the wall street bankers who made mistakes fail, no bailouts whatsoever. I submit to you that many of so called "fat cats" will go under.
@rumco Yes, the government should eliminate the military, all corporate welfare, all intellectual property, and landed property. Then we can figure out how to eliminate the rest of it.
@JohananRaatz .. ... This video says exactly the opposite to what you're saying. Your comment, according to democratic point of view, is elitist. .... Your link is incomplete. Write the title of the video you suggest we watch within quote marks.

That's plutocracy, not democracy!

@tapolna "This video says exactly the opposite to what you're saying."
No, just the exact same thing but with the opposite value judgment.
"Your comment, according to democratic point of view, is elitist"
Yeah I know, unfortunately with the average level of intelligence these days it's not too hard to be an elitist.
BTW The video is entitled: "Correcting Democratic Failures with Corporate Power"
