One can use this to justify that the writters of the bible had bad intention (good would have been had only the 2 kids were killed, a moral lesson to not insult people), another famous part in the bible is the story of Abraham which he sacrifice his son because god said so, though its only a test, imagine the POV of his son. Or how bout the verse saying, the raped can be sold to the rapist for gold.

If you were to study the word of God with humility and ask for the Holy Spirit to guide you and you search for God with all your heart he will reveal the truths in the Bible to you (not every single verse will be made clear, but the vital points pertaining to salvation will be) and most importantly you will find him :)

I don't recall what sex the angels were but the implication is that they were male and it seems the custom of the day was to share ones unwed (supposedly virgin) daughters with everybody who was male. @Oicurmtoyoy Atheism and Agnosticism are mutually exclusive. Atheism denies the existence of any god/gods outright. Agnosticism accepts the possibility that there could be a creator, they just don't subscribe to any particular religion. You can't deny a god but accept that one could exist at the same time. Arguing semantics is a waste of time. stop it.

Similarly, I can say within reasonable knowledge that there is no god, but I can't absolutely prove it.

You can also show that the Christian god doesn't exist for the same reasons (the problem of evil, inconsistent positions from an all-knowing God, needlessly complex plans from all-powerful god).

Unfortunately for the atheist, however, the actual definition leaves him in quite an embarrassing position: While admitting that he can never prove his unscientific belief that God somehow doesn't exist, he stubbornly clings to that dogmatic belief without ever offering as much as a single shred of evidence for it. Even if there was religion before this, it still proves that religion began to exist at one point. Before that point there was no religion, i.e. atheism. In other words, before there was religion, everyone was atheist.

One can use this to justify that the writters of the bible had bad intention (good would have been had only the 2 kids were killed, a moral lesson to not insult people), another famous part in the bible is the story of Abraham which he sacrifice his son because god said so, though its only a test, imagine the POV of his son. Or how bout the verse saying, the raped can be sold to the rapist for gold.

If you were to study the word of God with humility and ask for the Holy Spirit to guide you and you search for God with all your heart he will reveal the truths in the Bible to you (not every single verse will be made clear, but the vital points pertaining to salvation will be) and most importantly you will find him :)

I can't prove that pixies exist, so I don't believe in them, but I can't assert that they definitely don't exist, in terms of absolutes. I can say within reasonable knowledge that they don't exist, but religious people love to talk in absolutes, so I have to as well when I talk to them. Similarly, I can say within reasonable knowledge that there is no god, but I can't absolutely prove it.

You can also show that the Christian god doesn't exist for the same reasons (the problem of evil, inconsistent positions from an all-knowing God, needlessly complex plans from all-powerful god).

Your claims give me a background, but they don't really give me anything to look up about how brainwashing was used in relation to atheism. Provide a source, or at least something to search, otherwise I have no inclination to believe you.

It has been used to make people communist, but communists don't have to accept or reject the idea of god in order to be communists. Also, this brainwashing didn't happen outside of wars, so it's a moot point to mention it now.

Btw, atheism dosen't fit the description I gave. It's not a superstition, as it dosen't claim the existence of the supernatural. It's not made up, as it's a default state. And it dosen't exist due to a lack of explanation, because it really dosen't explain anything. Saying atheism was made up is akin to saying that a non-belief in unicorns is made up.

@Oicurmtoyoy The historical evidence is that the earliest evidence of religion was found around 300 millenniums BC. Even if there was religion before this, it still proves that religion began to exist at one point. Before that point there was no religion, i.e. atheism. In other words, before there was religion, everyone was atheist.
You also seem to have atheism confused with other ideas. You do realize that atheism is only the lack of belief in a god, right? Anything else is a separate belief.

Agnosticism and atheism aren't mutually exclusive. Agnosticism is not knowing if god exists or not, atheism is not believing that god exists. I don't believe in god, but I don't claim to know that he dosen't exist, therefore I come under both categories.
Atheism I a default, so we know it must have existed before religion did. Furthermore, everyone is born an atheist, due to lack of knowledge about religion.

Also, Buddhism is an atheistic religion, with the exception of a few sects, and it existed in the first millennium BC. I've given you both logical and historical proof, you can Google it if you want more.
