There are two things I loved about All Shall Perish. One was Chris' insane riffs and solos that were churned out and the other was the fact that Eddie had such versatility in his vocals. With Smashface, the guitar lines are absolutely stunning but the vocalist has nowhere near the versatility of Eddie.. =/

He doesn't just grind scales at hyper speed and has his own style. It's not the most technical and it's not blistering fast, but it's memorable. This guy is forgettable, he's a Rusty Cooley clone. Very good, but forgettable, lacks personality.

@SergeyEremeev Let me correct you on something - While Slash uses the pentatonics heavily, he as well uses the phrygian and blues scales just as frequently. The solo for Sweet Child O'Mine itself is a hybrid of several different modes. Slash is by no means a technical monster, but he has an 'x' factor when it comes to creation that many players lack, including fast, techy scale grinders. If you like scale grinders, fine, I like a bit of everything and can appreciate players like Slash.
