Really as twisted as it was Barbara and James somehow belonged together. As much as he hated her sometimes, I also think his feelings for Barbara were as close as James ever came to loving anyone. Barbara loved Hal more, but part of her was always drawn to James. I'm with Emily on this one. Babs is pretty darn toxic.
