The vid is being shot from the old First National Bank parking lot, looking south. The street running south, directly across from the lot is 2nd NW (covered in brick).

BTW, this was not the result of a backdraft. Backdrafts happen during the smoldering phase when the fire is oxygen starved. Clearly, it was free-burning when the explosion occured.

Property owners reported gas leaks were a frequent occurance on that block.

Hey thanks for the email. My dad used to coach and teach at Paris Junior College in the 60's. He was a sports icon with Raymond Berry at Paris High School in the early 50's. My uncle Jack still has a Barber Shop just east of that fire damage. Thanks again for all the videos. I sent them to my dad.

I was born in Paris. Wish you had pan your camera more away from the fire to pick up other Paris Texas landmarks for bearings.
