Yes, the business environment has changed for the USPS. But, you have to adapt. The Postal Service still has a monopoly on letters, that is huge. I think the USPS lost almost 5 billion in 2009, this is insane. Get with the times, do the following: Go to 401k or IRA'S-defined contribution plans, not defined benefits. Do like everyone else, get rid of the BS retiree health care obligation. Congress needs to let the Usps have more flexibilty in pricing, less losses on mail, price mail for profit.
I am sure they will junk this in favor of another machine a year from now. They always do! That's why they lose money. It's like buying a new car every year. yes it is coming to Canada Post the first plant is Winnepeg . I have heard the new current staffing is like 3 out of 11 people now doing the job will stay. Big cuts not to mention the PPD 's light dutied staff they will be out for sure nothing for them to do I heard in this very modern plant . Wow, that's gonna really do us in! Do they tell you about all the missorts in the flats? Better grab a motorized route quick or a parcel post route. You'll be lugging around all the beats all day with longer street times.
They forgot to mention the part where it takes twice as long to deliver it all now. Whoever designed this should be kicked in the head.

This will not happen in all areas. Some current SCFs are not zoned for this equipment. Plus hey have not offered and price incentives in postage.
