I don't know why, but at 0:49 I couldn't help but cackle at Duke's war cry as he tackles Cobra Commander. thirty years of trying to knock the tyrant out of power and still unable to finish the last half of the battle. COBRA!!! (LOVE this commercial by the way!)

I am glad this line lasted into '93, because I was able to order the HISS, and the Slugger from the catalog inserted in the vehicle box. The rest of the line was just meh. Alley Viper wasn't that bad though...

It was pretty bad when the Joes starting fighting mutant outerspace monsters and crap like that. The comic book by this point was basically "The Snake Eyes and Ninja Force Show", too.

@TheMaskedSpanish Nah... that had more to do with putting former Kenner staff in charge of the license who dilbertly tanked with Sgt Savage and GI Joe Extreme figures which had limited articulation and were incompatabile with previous RAH characters, due to Kenner staff's resentment of GI Joe blowing their toylines like Star Wars Power of the Force leading to Hasbro's take-over of Kenner... there's some fascinating history there.

these comericals came out after the DiC series ended, and seriously as a kid with friends we hoped that this meant they were making the show live action, but no. there was no more cartoon till sgt savage (w t f) then spy troops.
