  • I would like to join a Zoroastrian group, does anyone know who I can contact? I live in South Oregon. Thanks.

  • Greetings from an Indian zoroastrian.

  • Bahramerad;

Kurds are Meads (Maddha); Kurds have been in Iran longer than any Iranian has been and Kurds always saved Iran. Did you know that the Safavids were actually Kurds? I bet you didn't know!

  • As far as I know the Safavid were Azaris.

  • Look guys; Zartoshet was not Iranian! He never visited Iran and never mentioned Iran! You want to pretend he was an Iranian? Read the history!

  • ZedYahood2 - For a Kurd - you seem to be a bit stupid and mad.

  • Wikipedia article on Zoroaster says:

Nowhere in the Avesta (both Old and Younger portions) is there a mention of the Achaemenids or of any West Iranian tribes such as the Medes, Persians, or even Parthians.

The 2005 Encyclopedia Iranica article on the history of Zoroastrianism summarizes the issue with while there is general agreement that he did not live in western Iran, attempts to locate him in specific regions of eastern Iran, including Central Asia, remain tentative.[16]

  • This is a quote stright from Wikipedia -

In the 3rd century, the Sassanian emperor Ardashir I (r. 226-241 CE) commanded his high priest Tonsar (or Tansar) to compile the theological texts.

  • Dear ZedYahood2 (Mr. Smart)

Zoroaster was living at least 1200 years before Achaemenids or 3700 years ago. Do you think Zoroaster was as smart as you to mention Achaemenids, Medes or Persains? No he wasn't!!! you are much smarter

  • Yes that is an accurate date, it has been linguistically proven that he lived around 1800 BC

    Peace,

    Zarathushtra. ORG

  • According to the Dēnkard, the Tonsar effort resulted in the reproduction of twenty-one volumes, called nasks, subdivided into 348 chapters, with approximately 3.5 million words in total. One final redaction took place under Shapur II (r. 309-379).

  • Zoroaster (Latinized from Greek variants) or Zarathushtra (from Avestan Zaraθuštra), also referred to as Zartosht (Persian: زرتشت), was an ancient Iranian prophet and religious poet. The hymns attributed to him, the Gathas, are at the liturgical core of Zoroastrianism.

  • If I am not mistaken Iranians were Mitraists before Zaretoshtian Persians coming to Iran and changing the religion of the local people. Do you know about Mitarism? It is the base of Christianity; almost all Christian rituals and beliefs come from Mitraism.

BTW, do you know what the Moghs of Zaratosht did to the Iranians? Read the history!

  • ZedYahood2 : You are right that - The ancient Iranian culture ' Seemorgh ' has its roots before Zoroastrism, which brought forth concepts and images that can clearly be separated from the later teachings of Zoroaster .

If You are keen to find out how these meanings interrelate and how some are different and have seperate meanings. see : Manuchehr Jamali's website

  • @Bahramerad this remind me of what could have happen to us Bulgarians true the five centuries of Turkish slavery

  • Baa dorud o mehr be Bahramerad, Va baa shaadBaash Nowruzi, I viewed and commend you excellent taste in videography . You and I and other patriots who felt touched by hymns of Nowruz are indeed in debt to valiant Aryban. As far as I'm concernd, you certainly have my vote of support in using my service and future contributions to the motherland. I'm certain Admiral Aryaban feels the same.

    shaadZi o mehr-afzun - iranMehr-

  • Ba Sepas Az Shuma Aranmeher va Admiral Aryaban.

  • Look guys; Zartoshet was not Iranian! He never visited Iran and never mentioned Iran! You want to pretend he was an Iranian? Read the history!
