Beautiful! Just....beautiful. So deep and meaningful. I love my Mami and in a few months, I'm going to be a Mami too :) and I will be THE best Mum, LoL, just as my mother was to me :)
Btw, what is WRONG with music these days? There's no soul...no emotion :( Ugh.
Seriously. Everyone here who is going on about how there isn't any good music anymore, and how this song represents the pinnacle of musical acheivement in the 20th century REALLY need to look a bit further. I'm only here because I'm posting this link as a joke on facebook... IT SUCKS.
Great song! It takes me back to the times where life was grand and beautiful. Now music has fallen down, it doesnt have no meaning or soul.Im happy to be born in the time where music was worth listening to. Good music never dies!
why is there no music like this anymore. Being in Yr9 now means that i missed out on great music like this :( I am stuck with stupid rapping that is all made on the computer!!
Me and my best friend went and saw them during this tour. He was killed a few years back in a car accident and I think of him and those great times whenever I hear anything off this CD.
Music is transcendence. Look beyond yourself and get lost, no drugs required. Science has documented the dope-like effects music has on peoples brains (in other words, the best anti-depressant you can find and money is little to no object) . A well written, spiritual, almost-religious sounding piece of music like this (among a few others I can think of) are the reason I love music.
This song makes me think of my brothers. They were twins Christian and Charles. They died hours after their birth in december of 96. Although im not much of a religious person i like to think that theyre with my grandfather who gave his life for another brother of mine and that the life they lost here was given to someone else. Its a beautiful song
With this song I am 21 again and I am slow dancing with my girlfriend in my basement before I moved to away to Alberta. She is now my wife. Everytime we hear this song we think of that day.
I've heard this song many times and never really payed attention. Yesterday it finally hit me and I basically tripped out to it. I was high, but I'm high everyday, so it was more than just that. Such a beautiful, euphoric song.
@everyegide Dont be so close minded. Theres plenty of great hip hop artists out there like theres plenty of great rockers. You just gotta look for them.
this song is about a high school friend that the band knew that was killed in a car collision by a fleeing, armed bank robber. The song is based upon death, and death bringing new life but revolves around their friend that died and gave her organs away so with death brings life they dedicated to their friend. I love this song!!
music is music...satan is satan...he who thinks of satan while listening to a music has a satan inside himself!!! enjoy music...dont think nonsense...
@rockingjhon82 I think some music is certainly satanic. Songs that preach violence, hatred, drug abuse, sexual transgression, etc. As well as certain genres such as dark ambient (listen to it for 5 minutes and you'll be poopin yourself :P) and dark psytrance are satanic. They preach things opposite to what Christ preaches, therefore, it's evil :) IF you get a bad feeling while listenin to a song, generally its bad
@rockingjhon82 How come you know so much about Satan? Oh, wait, it cause your a Dumb-ass! It's a good song, deal with it! Music isn't always "happy times," but some of us enjoy quality music.
I am reading some of these comments and they are completly unrelated to the song or the video, which is kinda making this as dumb as a highschool chat room. (Satan really?!) Songs like this with simple repeating guitar patterns and sincere, heartfelt vocals, are what alot of todays alt rock is missing. My mom played the crap out of this CD when I was a little and I am glad she did.
@AmyBoop88 Dont know where they are from, the singer is Ed Kowalczyk, he's gone solo now, check out his debut single, Grace, it'll blow you away (if you haven't already heard it).
@Charles87sf Nothing is wrong with the world mate, its just that there are so many teeny beiber boppers that spend so much more time on the net than older people. Can u imagine all those young girls screaming with each other about him and watching the clips soo many times...
Every time I played Splinter Cell Conviction, this one guard kept saying "I know he's here, I CAN FEEL IT". Which made me think of this song, but I could only remember the lyrics. So I looked it up & what do ya know? It's "Lightening Crashes" by Live.
GOD SHOWED ME HOW EVIL THIS WAS,,,LUCIFER IS THE ANGLE OF MUSIC,,,HE WAS FITTED W PIPES AND PRECIOUS STONES,,,HE SINGS THROUGH THESE MUSICIANS,,,EVERY SONG FROM THE 60 70 80 90 2000 IS MUSICAL WITCHCRAFT RUN FOR YOUR LIVES AND LOOK INTO MUSICAL WITCHCRAFT YOULL BE STUNNED

@candiceevans1 dude, paranoia is too high, calm down. music is a great influence, and what people do with their lives is how they interpret how they are influenced. as a musician, i am influenced in artistic ways by music, and yes the drug culture behind it is still there, but it doesnt mean you have to do it. its just there. music is part of life, its always been there and always will be even in this "new world order" of which you speak. @candiceevans1 so technically, not only the 80s was this so called "mind control frenzy of filth," but also every generation of music would be "mind controlled" by sed medium: Music. @Boom1chaching LIGHTENING BOLT IS A SYMBOL OF THE DEVIL,,,JESUS SAID I BEHELD SATAN FALL LIKE LIGHTENING FR THE HEIGHTS,,,,IN HEBREW LIGHTENING FR THE HEIGHTS IS PRONOUNCED BARAK UBAMA

But no, I do more good for strangers, stop and help, stop and stand up to the REAL evils of the world, people like you who believe beautiful is evil, or satanic
@candiceevans1 Did you ever even pass high school English? Listen to the lyrics and tell me what the meaning is behind it. He's talking about the fact that someone died, then he donated his organs who in turn saved other lives. What would Jesus do? That very same thing. Lightning is also a naturally occurring weather phenomena, electrostatic discharge that can accompany dust storms (the wrath of God you think...no) and also thunder. Satan! HA! I hope he takes out closedminded ppl like u 1st
@candiceevans1 you're stupid. That's why I don't "listen" to the Bible. 'Cause of people like you. The Bible is such an OLD and OUTDATED BOOK. @MrTernstyle It's actually a song Ed wrote after a very dear and close friend of his had a miscarriage. Nothing mystical of deep about it. Very personal yes. But lets skip the hyperbole and listen to what it is. A very sad song.
@MrTernstyle The Year this song came out my great grandmother (who was of no relationship except marriage) passed at the age of 94 and my first daughter was born. Everytime I hear this song I cry. It was a bittersweet year but I understand the circle of life.
I'm so cool and tough online... I'll stab you with my +5 hp stealer sword and my +3 wisdom helm will protect me... I have 5 girlfriends online... lolujealous?
remindes me of me this happened to me when i had my daughter they lost me twice i really like this song its gotta lot of meanin to it. God was with me that day.
Never mind the 40 something people who disliked the song. I'm all about the 1,000,000 Million plus who watched it, and the 2,000 plus wo LIKED this song. That's where it's at.
memories of the past 20 years put into an excellent impression, close your eyes and listen to this, and you might as well learn to fly (to use yet another analogy).
memories of the past 20 years put into an excellent impression, close your eyes and listen to this, and you might as well learn to fly (to use yet another analogy)
@ElmoNiteLite2110 music does not evolve. Music ebs and flows between being dominated by artists and dominated by industry. In the 50s music was dominated by crap like pat boone and do wop. The underground rock and rollers to the music revolution in the 60s. Then the 60s music got incorporated and had to combat disco crap in the 70s. Then underground rock/metal began as a movement against that but was quickly incorporated in the 80s as hairmetal. Grunge killed hair metal but was incorporated.
@ElmoNiteLite2110 then gradually the angst of grunge gave rise to alternative music, again "underground" and that sadly got incorporated into the emo garbage like simple plan. There were also submovements ie rap/hip hop, thrash rock, and goth rock. All of which were quickly incorporated. Music is in hell right now. Some underground movement will come and there will be artists again...hopefully. Sadly the industry is now ran by the buying power of 13 year olds w/ no bills.
@ wellington its great how this song is just 3 chords, same rythm over and over again, formed into a masterpiece, thats good music. And very bearable, fag.
Music will never be like this again it breaks my heart. This music takes us back to a time and place that no one else can take from us. The people we new and the feelings we felt. It reminds of that one specific time, we were there and yep.....we did that.
@bracketbasher ass hole im not form the 90's & i luv this song if u dnt like it y u click on it & then leave a shity coment...that is billshit go fuck a cat or some thing
I lived this era and was so lucky to have experianced the bands of the time, this song was one of many that smashed through our generation.... fucken ROCK!!!!!
Man i know how you feel my mom died next to me lsitening to this song it was the sadest moment of my life and i didnt know what to do after i just didnt want her to leave me and it was just to hard to say good bye to her she loved this song and when ever we had the chance to listen to it we would but now that shes gone every time i hear it i cry like i am now but what he said is fucked up and if you had any respect you would understand what it feels like ok.
Wow this song makes me tear up. :| I remember listening to this many years ago, in a different, on a lonely night with an open fireplace and rain outside.
because back then, better music was made and besides,no matter what time or year it is,good music from even the 90's or before will always be remembered and brought up by everyone. If its that good, why not mention it?the decade may be over, but the music from then wont ever end.
Screw the 90s talk, It's the 2000s, lets progress with good music 'like' in the 90s. All I want is the current music gone. I want bands like this in the top 40.
ok, I think I can understand it watching it again this time... my daughter was sick earlier and I helped her fall asleep just alittle comfort will relieve sickness a little more then you might think... just to help my self feel a little better for partying to this song a lot...
lightning flash out my window and reminded me of this song and i can feel it coming back again, like a rolling thunder chasing the wind, forces pulling from the center of the earth again... ( literally ) and that wasn't a good thing last time... xD
@Bonefox21 What's mindblowing is how the stupidity and lack of a creative bone in a lot of people today still manages to blow you away. You should be used to this idiocy by now.

memories of the past 20 years put into an excellent impression, close your eyes and listen to this, and you might as well learn to fly (to use yet another analogy).

Music evolves.
Adults (like 40's, 50's, 60's of age) loved rock and roll when it came out. The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley = they loved.
They're parents....they hated those artists/bands, they loved Jazz.
That was 50 or so years ago, flash back to modern day.
Adults love The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Aerosmith, etc. (basically great bands)
Kids today love rap, while adults hate it.
Music evolves, and being a 16 year old kid, I'm so glad that I listen to classic rock and not todays music
ElmoNiteLite2110 10 months ago
@ElmoNiteLite2110 music does not evolve. Music ebs and flows between being dominated by artists and dominated by industry. In the 50s music was dominated by crap like pat boone and do wop. The underground rock and rollers to the music revolution in the 60s. Then the 60s music got incorporated and had to combat disco crap in the 70s. Then underground rock/metal began as a movement against that but was quickly incorporated in the 80s as hairmetal. Grunge killed hair metal but was incorporated.
Offended83Shadow 10 months ago

Why is everyone comparing the 90s to the 2000s? That decade ended already. We're in the 2010s now.
Jennftw 11 months ago
@Jennftw
because back then, better music was made and besides,no matter what time or year it is,good music from even the 90's or before will always be remembered and brought up by everyone. If its that good, why not mention it?the decade may be over, but the music from then wont ever end.
nwountouchable 11 months ago
@nwountouchable I'm not dating the goodness of the 90s. Simply saying that its not the 2000s anymore. ;)
Jennftw 11 months ago
@nwountouchable er.. debating. i'm not dating it either, but thats beside the point.
Jennftw 11 months ago
Screw the 90s talk, It's the 2000s, lets progress with good music 'like' in the 90s. All I want is the current music gone. I want bands like this in the top 40.

how the fuck can you dislike this song?!?! some of the dislikes on epic songs like this are just mindblowing
Bonefox21 1 year ago
@Bonefox21 What's mindblowing is how the stupidity and lack of a creative bone in a lot of people today still manages to blow you away. You should be used to this idiocy by now.
