  • look up joe davis band from kannapolis nc...guitar monster..

  • Glenn Hughs, touched by the magician

  • I saw them last week in my hometown Antwerp and all i can say the concert was just AMAZING..u guys let us Rock...!!!!

  • Joe's guitar education is sadly lacking if he does not know MIstreated...

  • O cara tah mais preocupado em fazer pose do que em cantar nessa performance... Acredito que ele saiba fazer melhor que isso...

  • ..Glenn getting better just like ol wine..KUDOS

  • Check out this video from BCC -----> youtube.com/watch?v=hy6WLBvBXaI

    Its sooooo good

  • with talent like this onstage I only have one thing to say........DAMN!!!!!

  • Bonamassa is a world class guitarist. Glenn Hughes was the fifth best lead singer in Deep Purple.

  • Is that Groucho Marx taking pictures at 8.30? ;-)

  • @zordakAU - That would be Robert M. Knight. :)

  • @zordakAU It sure ain't Harpo dude.

  • Mr lixman.... Retard.

  • You Mr Lixman are a fuckin retarded baboon if you think Glenn Hughes is talentless have you had your brain scooped out & a cabbage put in its place?? you sir are a fuckin idiot

  • @MrLixman knucklehead

  • @MrLixman You´re funny...

  • hey guys, thanks so much for your support. Please go to the Official Joe Bonamassa YouTube Channel and subscribe!

  • Wow. What a pair doing classic Purple. Fantastic. Love the guy shouting Lady Double Dealer as well. Great.

  • I hope Joe stays solo - or gets Paul Rodgers.

  • Joker, you acutally need to go to one of his concerts great player..great tone..

pick a subject your well versed in.

  • Hope black country, or whatever they are going to be called get going! it will be amazing!

  • @y2james99 - The band's name has been finalized. It is 'Black Country Communion'. :)

  • @libbysvideos youtube.com/watch?v=hy6WLBvBXaI

  • don't know why Glenn has always to play This song, as he really had no vocals on this with DP, (beside the fact it ROCKS big time), but everytime he talks or screams in here, I'm reminded of many recordings of DP Mk3+4, something that does not happen by any other 70s DP musician today... _great_ voice. and he sticks to his style since these days

  • ...G E I L ...

  • I saw Deep Purple perform this song at Cal Jam 74' and I also don't think Bonamassa does not do the song justice either. I hear so much hype about this guy, but he fell way short on this one. Ritchie Blackmore wrote this song and he picked a tall order to follow!

  • Two things missing as far as I can tell the ball sack tone of a Strat and Coverdale's lead vocal Glen Hughes is no doubt an ultra badass but Dave smokes him on this song

  • hey, you re obviously a fan of JB (the way little girls are fans of madonna or something)-the fact is still that the gtr playing IN THIS SONG sucks bigtime. throw away the 'fan filter' in your ears and you ll see. and: yes, OF COURSE GH can use the hype, (he did it years ago on a techno song for example), he s got nothing to lose or prove

  • @jokersbonus - Yes, in fact, you WOULD be the only one!! Thanks - I needed a good laugh. :) Let me ask you this.... in all seriousness. Putting aside for a moment the hundreds of facts regarding Joe's immense talent I could easily toss your way, do you honestly believe that someone like Glenn would align himself with a musician who was nothing more than HYPE? Think again. Seriously.

  • @jokersbonus - Gotta agree with you, I think you are the only one. Jealous much? Guys like this don't come along very often. Joe Bonamassa isn't overhyped

  • @jokersbonus - Gotta agree with you. I think you are the only one. Joe Bonamassa isn't over-hyped at all. If anything he's under-hyped. In this endless abyss of complete crap modern music churns out everyday, gems like Joe are one in 10 million. You know that "if you don't have anything nice to say" idea? Utilize it. You sound like a fool. On an up note, thankfully almost nobody thinks like you do. You should listen a little more in depth to what he does, you may be pleasantly surprised

  • @jokersbonus - shut up ass hole - Do you have any idea of the man's talent?? - He's been playing guitar for 8 hours a day since he was 4 - played with BB king when he was 12 and can play every genre of muysic known to mann whether its bluegrass, classical or metal. You say he's a hype?? search for his interview with lick library and he plays some blistering stuff that you could only dream of playing showing he deserves every ounce of credit he receives

  • @jokersbonus This is very poor

  • @jokersbonus - If anything, the SINGING SUCKS!!! Or should I call it "little girl screaming"?

  • @jokersbonus You must be retarded and deaf.

  • I must have been living under a rock not to know about Hughes. Voice and his bass playing are to (Insert reaction to his peformance)

  • 0:34 - lol :)

Can't wait for Black country's debut album to come out!

  • @thecosmicstring - Hahaha!! I know.... (0:34) hehehe. I wanted to make sure that you also see the debut performance of the entire band (Bonamassa, Hughes, Bonham, and Sherinian) that I caught a few weeks ago in Riverside.... two songs - Mistreated and One Last Soul (new song to be featured on album). For some reason, YT is not allowing me to give you the links here ..... just search thru my videos and you'll find them. Enjoy - and spread the words. :))

  • @libbysvideos - those vids are awesome! Thanks for posting them and I'll pass the links around. Cheers :)

  • @thecosmicstring - I thought you might like them. Thank you - I'm sure the band will appreciate all the excitement we can generate! :))

  • Blackmore played the shit of this and his live versions are untouchable. Love Jb, but this is all Ritchie Blackmore vibe since he wrote the the music.

  • AMAZING...

  • well gotta say, they make amazing sound together

  • Indeed, they do. Can't wait for the album. Did you see my video of 'Medusa' as well?

  • forgot about it, thanks for a reminder lol

  • Thanks for posting this interesting clip. I like the playing of Bonamassa normally but if this was a 'blind test' of sorts, just listening to it I must say I think this version blows. Bonamassa can't have rehearsed that many too times... He can play so much better. I like his tone but I have to say I don't fancy it in this context. There are much better versions of Mistreated sung by Hughes out there, especially with JJ Marsh using a more proper tone and performing a better solo part.

  • Can't wait to see Joe with Glenn, Derek and Jason. It is a Bonamassa that we've never seen. He just said it is he is going to rip it like never before.

  • still got it glenn

  • What a great song, what an outstanding performance:)

  • Indeed it was - BOTH!! Don't miss my 'Medusa' video from that night also. :)

  • un agravio al "men in black"...

  • Great quality video Libby, awesome! :)

  • Thank you so much! I was so glad to be there to capture it! :)

  • thank you 4 sharing this ♥

  • You're most welcome. Did you stumble across it here, or see the link I just put on Glenn's Facebook page? It was SUCH a great night. Don't miss my 'Medusa' video too. Enjoy!

  • saw it thru' f/b... As I'm a fan of GH I get all news thru' that link Libby. Thx again 4 sharing coz all these precious moments r due to you ♥

  • How sweet! It's my pleasure to share - it's MUCH more fun that way!! If I have another opportunity to film them (which I'm hoping I may soon) I certainly will. :)

  • WoW, how come u've got so many opportunities to see Glenn's & his friends' gigs? Yr a lucky gal.................

  • I can't fuckin' believe this actually happened. I would've shit my pants if I was there.

  • this was my favorite song of the whole show. sounded the best too. they were just so tight. thanks for posting. i was only a few rows behind you :)

  • It was a GREAT night, wasn't it? It was my third night in a row to see Joe, and my first time ever seeing Glenn. I'll never forget it. :)

  • 'There is some talking going around that Joe and glenn do recording for a Supergroup. The Medusa song is great BTW

  • Thank you, Libbys!!!

    Great video!!!

    Best regards, from Matoso (Brazil).

  • You're welcome Matoso.

    :) Libby :)

  • This has always been one of my favorite songs and what a blast it is to see Glenn doing his thing with JB. Excellent video. Thanks Libbysvideos.

  • My pleasure. :)) It was an entirely awesome thing to witness. Did you see 'Medusa' too?

  • wow thanks for posting libbysvideos!

  • You're welcome. More to come from that night too!! (Although Glenn only did those two songs with JB - have you seen Medusa yet?)

  • It's great Joe Shares the stage with his idols.

One of my favorite songs ever.

    Great Post,

    Thanks

  • Well Bulesrocker---another immature vulgar response just because I expressed an opinion--you don't have to like my opinion but at least my generation does not have to resort to your intolerance or IG quotient--perhaps you and Bobbydumass ARE representative of YOUR generation. I was listening to Blues before your grandmother was born probably,so I don't see you as any Blues expert with your 21 years of experience. Blues/Rock--muddled thimking.

  • you're entitled to your opinion....but don't get mad when others express theirs...If you're an old man, and have a lot of experience with the blues, you sure could of fooled me...you sound more like every other 17 year old who thinks they know it all.

  • You're most welcome. Glad you enjoyed. :) Thank you for your kind words.

  • This is awesome. These two fit together perfectly IMO. Thanks for posting Libby!

  • So what a few of you are missing about Joe Bonamassa is that he has admiration for Glen and for Rock-N-Roll which is as much a part of Joe as the blues is. Deep Purple fits into this category and Glen is a talent even if he doesn't appeal to YOU. Appreciate what YOU love in music and let the bitter thoughts leave your mind as fast as they entered it. One can be critical of a performance or artist without nasty comments but unless you get paid to be a critic why waste the energy?

  • Thank you for your words of wisdom. The fact is that Joe INVITED Glenn to be HIS GUEST. HE has great RESPECT and ADMIRATION for Glenn as a singer, bass player, and composer. I was THERE and know how the blues based audience reacted to Glenn - it was with WILD enthusiasm. Lastly, I much prefer my channel to be free of any harsh criticism. I would ask that you keep that in mind, and show some basic respect, and politeness, no matter your opinion, to all artists, and to me as well.

  • This is Cracker and I thought my original comments were very appropriate and directed at the fact that Joe B. is great, but "I" did not see the value in Glenn Hughes. So what if Joe B. Invited him ,that does not make him more than a lousey screaming musician--my opinion which I am entitled to unless the point of your Blog here is not honesty but propaganda for your own point of view. "YOUR CHANNEL" IS PUBLIC SO SUCK IT UP AND EXPECT OPINIONS DIFFERENT THAN YOURS.

  • I don't come to this site for opinions just to watch video of good music. I apologize to the person who posted this video and hope they continue to do so.

  • Well Bobby! Nice of you to apologize to somebody, but I did not detect an apology for your vulgar and immature response to my honest view of Glenn Hughes. Yes! opinions do count since this Blog is public and your likes are ok but so are mine and I get to say so.

  • Settle down Grandpa before you have a stroke. It's always fine to have an opinion. However, before you start flapping your toothless gums about something you obviously know nothing about, here's a lesson for you. A) Glenn Hughes, whether you like him or not is considered one of the finest vocalists in all of rock history. B) this is a Deep Purple classic, which Glenn was part of. C) This is called BLUES ROCK pops, so get with the program. A lot has gone down since yours and Tom Edison's day.

  • I would love to see things from your point of view cracker, but I can't get my head that far up your ass. What is this, Internet Activity Day at the old folks home? By the way, just because you're deaf doesn't mean you have to "YELL" in your posts. We can read what you're all about loud and clear. You are disrespecting Glenn and most of all, disrespecting Joe with your childish ways. I guess it's true what they say : Sometimes with age comes wisdom. However sometimes age comes alone.

  • wtf!!!!! so f/cking great!!!!

  • If I didn,t already know JB is the greatest guitarist on the planet I wouldn't have wasted my time watching that screaming poser Hughes play for 10 minutes. That was painfully boring.

  • Right on!!!!! Read my response to Bobbydumass46--name is appropriate for this jerk.

  • I am 70 years old and have been a mega blues fan all my life. I think Joe B. is the best ever--have seen him in person and there is no better show and music. However, having said that, what is so great about Glenn Hughes? This is not blues in any shape--it' just a bunch of screaming--better siuited for a Heavy Metal Concert.

  • Ever hear of Deep purple dumbass!

  • Your use of a stupid name calling response speaks highly to the obviously 87 IQ you used to post it. My point was the crap that Hughes represents compared to, and God forbid in conjunctuion, with the worlds greatest present blues musician. Who the F--k is Deep Purple and why is "it" referred to in the same sentence with Joe B.? Read the post after mine--I am not alone!!!

  • @cracker7111 You "purists" get on my nerves . It is too blues .

  • Hell Yeah! Go Joe!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Echo all ok the above...!!!!!!!

  • holy shit!!!

  • yes, indeed. ;)

  • So cool the way these fine musicians communicate during the flow. Obviously they were having a better time that the fans. You killed it again Libby.

  • I loved watching the JOY between them too..... especially the looks on the faces of Bogie Bowles and Dave Pate (Joe's stage manager). They were both beside themselves with excitement!!! Thank you for the kind words. :)

  • Hot Damn! That's really all tht can be said ;)

  • HOT is right. It was unreal......
