You're not the Antichrist for wanting to burn the whole world down. Also, this song was created for a movie and the lyrics are appropriate for the main characters. And one last note, there is no such thing as an Antichrist.
@maxdbz420 Burn is a b-side from the Downward Spiral, originally recorded for that album and during that era. While Trent put it on the Natural Born Killers soundtrack, it is considered part of TDS era (much like Apple of Sodom and ACSS by Marilyn Manson).

@InSingularity Trent and I were close friends. He hung out with Kurt Cobain and myself from about '85. He flew to Alabama the day that Kurt killed himself to tell me in person. I was a wreck for months. Kurt was one of my closest friends and had been in my life since the age of 15. The songs that I made up for Trent were not about him, but an evolution of the songs I wrote for Prince's Purple Rain.
Inspiration for naming Evanescence and writing Like A Virgin for Madonna
"The only sad thing about a great night in the theater is its EVANESCENCE. When it's over, it's over. You can remember the performance forever, of course. But you can't re-create that VIRGIN sensation - that almost numbing exhilaration - of witnessing something NEW and different and exciting in the theater FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME." review of A Chorus Line by Frank Rich of The New York Times Oct 1, 1983
@WildKurtisTrent I knew girls who were cool when they were 16-but overall girls like that tend to ignore anything that's not the flavor of the month unfortunatly
@ZaarBloodletter666 ikr i wonder if kurt cobain is glad he died bc he prob would have gone on killing spree bc how much gay pop has taken over the world. I kind of wonder what his response 2 bieber would be and same for trent reznors lol
@ChildIncomplete Incomplete you are, sir. Listen, I'll level with you.
Kurt Cobain was probably one of the most gifted literary minds, as far as music. He has relatively decent lyrics, and the way he sings packs a hell of a punch. But there are a crap-ton other artists with more meaning and more emotional impact than Cobain.

Another Industrial band from the 80's/90's/00's and still very active to this day.
Look up the song Stray Bullet by them if you wanna hear one of their masterpieces.
KMFDM has done all sorts of genres like mixing Thrash Metal in with their songs like A Dug Against War which sounds like Rust In Peace era Megadeth or their song Godlike which is based off of Slayer's Angel of Death (especially the original "Chicago Trax" version of it) and plenty of other genres.
Trent Reznor showed up on the scene about '85, before he starred in Light of Day movie to help out on keyboards while I wrote songs. I wrote Head Like A Hole and Closer for him. I had just seen the movie Real Genius with Tom Cruise's friend Val Kilmer. There is a line in the movie Real Genius which I repeated to Trent. "Can you hammer a six inch spike...?" This was inspiration for the band name Nine Inch Nails. He thought the initials (NIN) would look good on a logo.
@Boddahism Considering Amy Lee is 29, and was born in '81, I'm pretty sure you couldn't have written Head Like A Hole or Closer. So Please quit feed people false information.
@Caine504 The lead singer of Evanescence uses my name as her stagename and was a kid when I chose her to front the band which I named. Trent & I came up with the name of the band after I repeated a line from the movie Real Genius which had just been released when we met. Character Susan: Can you hammer a six-inch spike through a board with your....?" Six Inch Spike became Nine Inch Nails because the logo would have been SIS instead of NIN.
@Boddahism dude, one you know nothing about trent, two trent writes and records his own music all by himself, three you are some bs internet troll for spreading such lies
@MrDinomite89 I met Trent right after the release of the Aug '85 film Real Genius starring Val Kilmer. He had not seen the movie yet and I quoted some of it that I thougth was funny. (After Val Kilmer’s character Chris makes a pass at Deborah Foreman’s character she replies) Can you hammer a six-inch spike through a board with your penis? He thought the logo NIN would look better than SIS and Nine Inch Nails was born that day
@MrDinomite89 He was brought to Alabama. We worked in Birmingham's Boutwell Auditorium developing songs along with bands Def Leppard (friends of members of Lynyrd Skynrd), INXS (which Mutt Lange had produced albums for Australian band AC/DC as well as Def Leppard), Motley Crue, Michael Jackson (who is friends with Lionel Ritchie who went to Tuskegee in AL & formed the Commodores. MJ also brought his brothers to practice in Bham for the '84 Victory tour and he publicly visited my hometown).
@MrDinomite89 It was May 15, 1983 which Joe Elliott of Def Leppard discovered me at Boutwell Auditorium. You should look up the history of Def Leppard and you will find that they were in Birmingham, AL at Boutwell on that date. You also might find out that Joe Elliott canceled several dates of the tour in June of '83 claiming a sore throat when actually it was to work with me on songs. I had started working on Pour Some Sugar On Me using Aerosmith's song..."Step inside, WALK THIS WAY"
@MrDinomite89 Trent was one of many new artist who were brought to meet me over the years. Trent's expertise were required for the many songs I wrote. Tommy Lee of Motley Crue, Kurt Cobain and I would perform the songs for a small crowd of artist while working out the kinks on the songs. The recording artist I worked with also were investing in the film industry. Joan Jett and Michael J. Fox starred in the film Light of Day ('87) with Trent in the film.

I can understand that this music certainly won't be to everyone's taste.
That makes it all the sweeter, however, when you kill them while listening to it.
