This Batman game reminds me of Frank Miller's masterpiece "The Dark Knight Returns". But this game looks rediculous. I know "The Dark Knight Returns" had a beefed up Batman, but this Batman must've been juicing himself up with Captain America's super soldier serum and some anibollic steroids. Joker looked okay.

I'm guessing it was just a general Batman game, and would've had nothing to do with the movies if it was finished and went into production. And yes, it is awful, very, very, awful.

@areyoustilllistening Wow. The nosedive in quality from a game like Batman Returns to this is unforgivable. At least Software Creations had enough sense to realize how bad the game was and bail on it. Amazing find though. Thanks for posting this.

Hehe I love the names that they use for the baddies, it reminds me of Batman Forever :).

One of them is even called Alfred. Wow, he must have taken some serious steroids to end up looking like that!

Yep. It's available in the No-Intro ROM set as Batman (USA) (Proto).zip and in the GoodSNES set as Batman (Beta).zip
