  • this is honestly one of the best tips ive learned on youtube

  • Been addicted to his tuff ever since i found his vinyl..in my collection

  • he made it sound crappier on purpose for a vinyl feel lolllllllllllllllllll

  • he's so freaking good at chopping up vocals.

  • is it the song weird science where hes using his own vocals?

  • is this real or make believe?

is this the real life? is this just fantasy?

  • Comment removed

  • and idea stolen from quasimoto, straight up.

  • It was my dream to know, how he works his vocals... so satisfied ^^

  • i met him in bath :)

    Auntie Em, Vocalist

  • oh shit thats fukin genius slow the whle track by 5 semi tones then record then speed up to normal speed........why the fuk dodnt i think of that..danny byrd kills it

  • lol, i do that all the time and here a was thinking i was a genious but after seeing this vid it seems its done by lots of artists.

just like many artists run their drumloops trough a sp1200 or akai sampler to add some lofi grit

  • great interview.. but he needs to buy a new chair :)

  • Oh yeah, I got onto Ozone (and trash) a few years back but just recently took the time to process with it! Simply amazing software! Hands down one of the best (iZotope) out there!

    Hymn

  • Dude gets points from me just for mentioning Roger Troutman and Teddy Riley (and knowing who they were)! What lil' I heard of the track sounded good! I'm on to the way you "dirty" things up...creativity is a must (especially in these days of cookie cutter crap)!

    Hymn

  • Thank you for sharing some of your process. Cheers!

  • i dont get why he used a vocalist to sound like a sample i know he wanted the specific melody but its just abit weird

  • Samples have their own super cool sound of their own...so reallly thats what he wanted to imitate. When we hear samples, its obvious.

He just wanted that 'obvious' sound.

  • kudos!

  • what program is it ?

  • iZotope Vinyl and Logic

  • @DrVirusi Danny uses lots of porrams, some tracks what has been released is done only wih reason for example.its not about the program its the creatuivity and this guy is talented!

  • What a fuckin top geezer!! Kepp up the good work Mr Byrd!!!

  • Danny Byrd is a cool geezer. Shock out is a big tune for sure. Hope he keeps this quality work up. 5/5

  • what the best mastering tools for drum&bass

  • your ears and get it mastered at sony ,abbey rd etc ,money but short cut

  • fuck izotope, they made my copy of idrum uselss, but good producer reardless.

  • hes the man

  • Superb Video..

Danny Byrd is one of my Favorite Producers in Drum & Bass...

I have his set on Hospital Radio.. talking about his BPM Flaws ... it was quite funny .. he seems like a cool dude..

    Respect !

  • Great insight into the creative process, always a treat.
