Nice job. Quick question, how did you manage to rack focus from the foreground to the background in that shot of the leaves? I have the same camera, with the basic lens that came with it.

@BOHOOGALA it has aperture 2.7-3.5 lens built in and 6mp :) the 2.7 makes the difference and shoot in manual mode for sure got this camera and still love it even if its so old

If your looking to take nice HD videos then I would suggest a camcorder or a DSLR.

im very dissapointed in this camera . its only good for good weather . at night you can forget it even when its afternoon it starts recording with a fuzz ....

I, too, am using my S3 IS for videos. Love the optical zoom and stereo mics! My only complaint is the (apparently) 1 GB limit on file size, regardless of SDHC card capacity. It will fill the card with videos but, when a recording gets to 1 GB, it stops. That means the max length at 640x480 @ 30 fps is about 9 minutes.

@richrauch yeah, thats a downside of it, but its because of the camera's system which for safety, creates only max 1 GB so they can be handled more easily.

@reedeema Sure, it was okay until I wanted to capture something that ran longer than the 9 minute limit, such as a song during a live jazz performance. I've since purchased a Canon PowerShot SX130 IS which, if memory serves, quits around 20 minutes (at 720p). The only disadvantage I've found with the SX130 is that its audio is partially muffled during zooming. I didn't notice any audio effects when zooming the S3 IS.

This camera shoots 640x 320 30fps and not HD, but when I uploaded it I tryed uploading in HD.

you have to patch the keygen into the files you instaled. if it's not to late....

export settings and set to 16:9 in ur editing software. and you have to shoot the original video in 16:9 format

When I uploaded 16:9 it came out smaller. This was uploaded 4:3 but shot in widescreen.

I had that for a while but then i realised i was shooting in 4:3. on ur lcd screen 16:9 looks tall and thin and then when u import it it stretches it out to the right look at 16:9.
