was the 98-99 headlight housing a direct replacement? and did you have to change any wires to make the stock wires fit the bulb that goes with the 98-99 housing or are they the same so the wires dont need to be changed? please respond
hey dude ive been trying to come across a pair of those and was wondering if you could provide me with the souce of where u got em from....appreciate it...i own a 99 avalon
Yes the the higher the temperature of the bulb is (blue) the more visible light you lose. If you look at an actual Kelvin scale it will tell you how many lumens you lose.
That would be 4300k. All Audi's, BMW, Lexus, etc. use between 4100-4300k bulbs which is an OEM white. They are the brighest and make the most light. Any higher you go up on the Kelvin scale they start to turn blue and look cheap.
While the 4300k is what is typically used in OEM applications, it will still look different since the majority of the OEM applications use projectors, which gives the blue/purplish look depending on the angle, he's probably looking for that color, which he won't get. But if you look at those BMW, etc. lights hea on you will see they are pure white, like these 4300k.
Yes but if you think thats amazing try switching from 6000k to 4300k. 6000k is what I orginally had and although the color of the blue light looks cool it produces so much less than 4300k bulbs which are pure white.
Hi I am thinking of getting 10K Kelvin HID bulb kit and don't know where to find replacement/HID 10,000 Kelvin compliant head lamps?

They are just the 98-99 Avalon OEM housings. You can get them from your local Toyota dealer or possibly find them online for a little cheaper.

Pretty cool.
I just installed a Banbo 6000K HID kit on my Avalon today. There was such a huge difference between the halogen and the xenon.
