Ok Trav, I used to have a spec v but blew the motor... Myspecv doesnt exist anymore, so what should I do with the motor?! The only thing i dont have is my exhaust system, cams.... Could I rebuild the motor or just give it to you? I have no use for it :\

this thing is amazing, love the sound and power of a vq but to be honest i would of expected faster times with a built vq atleast in the mid to high 11's. all and all nice ride man 2 thumbs up!

We're kinda limited with the size slick that we can run.. 24.5" is the tallest that will fit. And, as you can tell, we had some wheel spin out of the hole. With a 26 x 10, I think we would see high 1.6 60ft times, and would be darn close to 11's. But, the car isn't really set up for all out drag racing. We just wanted to go out and see what a mostly stock chassis Spec would do with a mildly built VQ. :)

Yeah, believe it or not.. it belongs to a 70 year old man.. He's cool as hell though!

The car was built as a daily driver, that gets road/drag raced every once in a while. It's just got a set of Basic's on it, and that's it as far as suspension goes. The car is 100% complete inside, down to the spare tire/jack. The VQ Sentra is fun to drive on the street. It's got so much TQ, that it's a handful.. and there's NO waiting (lag), like the turbo QR variant.

Hell, my D/D would even eat your lunch. One runs in 10.5" Outlaw class (8.50 car), the other runs mid 10's on pump gas and DOT tires. Take your pick.. Ok.. and? Who said that you need to mess with swapping out tires once you're at the drag strip? The point of this video wasn't to prove that it was a street car. There's a ton of these swaps around to prove that. I brought it out there on slicks, on a trailer, because I can.. and it's convenient.. rather than having to carry a jack, tools and such, just to rush to change out tires.

The VQ, with a JWT flywheel, and aftermarket headers/y-pipe weighs just 50lb's more than a stock QR powered Spec, and about dead even with a turbocharged QR powered Spec.. There's a little more TQ steer, but, it doesn't throw off the balance of the car.
