Gaia theory suggests that life on earth has transformed what might otherwise have remained a mere rock into a living system, a self-regulating superorganism. The earth has been able to self-regulate its temperature, for example, remaining stable despite a 25% increase in the sun's temp. since life first emerged 3.5 billion years ago.
Go with the one you WANT to take most. It sounds like the Theory of Consciousness is more appealing to you. But hopefully between the JFLA and all the generous donors you'll be able to take both. How much, may I ask, do you need?
Hi Matt, making personable videos like these I bet will bring you in more donations. Getting to know you a little more will help, hint hint. You are obviously aware of the beginnings of hard times ahead, I suggest that you take permaculture. Asking for donations is ok for a worthy endeavor, but in order for others to donate they would like to know a little at least about what they are being asked to donate to. Education, what field or course? I consider permaculture worth while. Later dude.
yeah, he explained for what he is going to use the money and is documenting the trip to the UK.
I would suggest a business model on making videos to Matt as well, like MrCropper is doing it. At any rate we don't have to donate if we don't want to, so don't critique Matt, I think it is not that easy asking people for money.
hyper, others may be a bit more skeptical but are sitting on the fence as to donate or not. I was making a suggestion which I have a right to. Matt asks for comments and I made one. Indeed I do have a right to critique especially if one asks for comments. Also I did donate to Matt last night because of his "Thank You" video. The first time in my opinion of which I have a right to have, Matt was not specific enough. It does matter to me what the course is. It obviously does not matter to you.
Congrats man.....been thinking about a few courses this summer myself...Findhorn looks like a great community. Might take a longer permaculture course at some point, learn how to build structures, grow food, everything.
Gaia/Evolutionary Consciousness course also looks pretty interesting. It's cheap for me to Fly to England, but the courses themselves are quite expensive, so I'm not so sure...
Well done on your fundraising, anyway. I know there are some people out there who disapprove, ha.
Yeah, go to Schumacher because I live in Totnes and would be so cool to bump into you around Dartington....lol
Findhorn sounds good too, I visited it once. Man, its really windy up there.
Have fun deciding,
Peace
