  • well u havent squatted seriously in forever, and ur goal was just to match or slightly pr on the squat. u atleast did 452 for an ugly rep this time, even if judges didnt count it. as for the bench, the liftoffs looked terrible, im sure with a good spotter =p =p =p you would have gotten 346 in ur new meet =p

also ur dead soared way up.

not the ebst meet but decent.

  • Nice work man!!! Sorry about being distant on here, I have had a lot of crap goin on. E-mail and we'll get caught up! Keep up the good work buddy! Your doing great!!!

  • You are very behind Maz, this contest was nearly a year ago, also I would prefer to keep in touch on my weightlifternerd account, since I rarely check this one anymore. I have my next usapl meet this sunday though, hoping for a 1300 raw total, 462 squat, 352 bench, 523 deadlift hopefully.

  • God, I would have been pissed. No matter how many times I watch it, I definitely agree with the judge who gave you the white on your 342 bench. So fucking close. Oh well, you're well beyond this now.

  • I am over it now, besides I at least finished the lift, and didn't get red lighted for failing, and I actually did lift my butt, I know i did, i felt it, I just hoped they wouldn't notice, although I didn't ask them why, so it was all my mistake.

  • A couple comments from an old PL. Your dropping a little fast on the squat. The bench looked good from the video (which is not a great angle) but don't be afraid to ask the judges why you received reds, just be polite like you want to learn. On the DL bring your stance in and your grip. You're doing a half sumo and half standard. Good luck.

  • My form is better now, this video was old.

  • my clip- needs to be no longer than 30 seconds. idk if you have time, but maybe you an edit all your best attempts into a short clip? if not i totally understand!

  • I could do that, I can edit my best bench, deadlift, and squat for ya.

  • Impressive!

  • thanks man!

  • NP. I can barely lift half of what you can. Actually I recently injured my right rotator cuff so lately I haven't been able to lift anything... :(

  • Oh sorry to hear that what caused the rotator cuff injury?

  • Doing pec flys on a bench with bad form... hyperextended my shoulder and heard a pop. Lately I've been able to do pushups and pullups again, but it's a slow recovery.

  • when you do flyes you def have to be careful, technique is vital, when you do flyes make sure your hands never go below your chest otherwise that is hyper extending and to deep for the chest, using a mirror can help you judge the proper distance. Also this exercise is not meant to use a lot of weight either, you would probably get a good pump even with 10 or 15 pounds per hand.

Well good luck on your recovery man!

  • good work

  • Great job, man.

I'm not exactly out of shape---but no where near you.

  • I could lose a few pounds, I just need to trim the stomach really then I am set. But besides that I am pretty healthy, even despite being overweight my blood pressure is fine, and various other health related stuff, I also never get sick to often.

  • Just add some HIIT training into your routine once a week, it could help you trim some bodyfat off your frame....... Good lifts man

  • HAHAHAHAHA! Let's see what those wanna-be wheight lifters say now. XD

  • I hear that haha, I am the Real Weightlifternerd!!!1

  • Yeah, you are. XD

  • Thats great form bud, and great depth.

  • great job!!!!

  • Thanks sgt, next meet I hope to put up bigger number stay tubed!

  • Good shizzat!! on all lifts!

  • thanks shadow, how has the lifting been for you lately?

  • Never knew you can pull that off. Just keeping on practicing. Good job winning that Bronze medal.

  • Yeah I competed against some tough competitors in my category, but my goal wasn't to win and was just to set new records in my lifts, and that is exactly what I did, so I was very happy with how it turned out, I am hoping to place higher in future competitions we will see!

  • awesome man... i cant even lift 2 mangas at one time :D

  • When it comes to Jericho Ozz,

he is the only gamer you don't want to mess with :)

    Good job man.

  • Dam straight!

  • You should really feel proud of youself Jared. My best friend could leg press 800 Lbs in high school. He may be 140 Lbs but he can run so frigging fast as well & is built up, & no he doesn't use steroids. It's not like him to. My personal passion though is Video Games. Im confident & tied a couple of world records in Super Mario 1 & 3 speed runs.

  • 800 pound leg press is pretty good for a guy his size I have leg pressed 1155 and I weigh 230-225 pounds. I actually have been posting more videos on my weightlifternerd account but that account is dedicated to weightlifting and fitness videos, this account Jerichosquink is for video games, rants, and random comedies like ghettomander. A big portion of my life is weightlifting, video games, anime etcc hence the name weightlifternerd.

  • Wow. I didn't know you competed in weight lifting competitions. I can pull a 250 pound pulley down to my waist (sitting position) no problem. I never been tested against weights that heavy. I tryed to beach press 300 pounds but failed every time at Grandma & grandpa's house. My grandpa is dead now for 10 years but in his last year (age 72) he could bench 300 Lbs. He didn' look like a body builder but he was healthy & ate well but died of a enlarged heart (Go Figure).

  • Yeah i like to compete for fun as a powerlifter and my mother as well, I felt like posting this since I haven't posted in a while.

  • you can lat pull down 250 pounds to your waist? no offense man but id like to see a video of that. jared can only do 260 to his chest and he can easily bench 300 pounds with his flabs./ =p

  • I don't have a camera though. Im not offending Jared in any way but, people who are overweight are stronger cuz they have to carry alot of weight (Themselves) so it's natural that they are going to gain muscle.

  • well yeah i agree with you. obviously its more impressive to see a guy 120 pounds benching 400 then a guy jareds size, but he is stil lstrong as an ox, and even for his weight hes doing well. he can bench 130 pounds over his bw!!!!

but still dude, i think you got the machines mixed up. i mnot trying to be an ass, but how would you be able to pull way more than an overweight guy like jared ;)

  • HBkaneedge818 is a friend dave, he is even subbed to me, he was not trying to be one of those typical haters or trolls bragging about a bizarre claim trying to put me down, there are really light machines sometimes, I do doubt him somewhat, and would prefer a video, but he was not being mean or rude or disrespectful when he made his claim, he stated it in a nice mature way, so I have no problem with his comment and you shouldn't either.

  • Thanks Jared!

  • Im 6'3" & 210 pounds so im not anywhere near 120lbs. My weight machine is in a huge cellar next to my room, so Ive estimated the weight is around 170 lbs (The number of pounds aren't listed). I tried for literally a minute trying to pull that thing down standing up, with my back straight but failed. I kept bending down!

  • Hey its all good dude, rctriplefresh5 is a close friend of mine, and we both are into weightlifting a lot, and can sort of be tough critics sometimes kind of like how video game reviewers can be tough critics when it comes to video games ya know, pulling 250 to your waist is considered a very impressive feat of strength and not many people can do it, not even some of the strongest guys o the planet, so that is why we doubted you somewhat, but sometimes machines are lighter then others.

  • I am not doubting you entirely that you can pull 250 to your waist, but we would prefer if you had a video to back up your claim, because on the internet anyone can say anything, but ya never know if it's the truth until they have a video as proof, anyways the thing that matters most is you actually try to stay in shape from what it sounds, no matter what you lift, all that matters is staying in shape and trying to remain healthy.

  • either way man 170 to your waist is stil lreally good. we might be misunderstanding what you meant by pulling it to your waist? do you mean an actual lat pulldown?

jared i havent forgotten about the pullups, ill upload them soon.

    tomorrow i get my brownies ! =p

  • dave just let him be, you know how machines can be, there inconsistent, the machine he was using might just have been light, don't look to into it.

  • i was not being rude at all, id jsut like to see that just like you doubt nate at times. regardless of the machine dude, do you know the amount of pulling power it would take to pull 250 to your waist? you cant honestlly buy that?
