Go study the meager research in respect to the effects of hydrogen enrichment on the combustion of complex hydrocarbons (gasoline) and air. Look at the ratio of H2 that's required (ratios are by mass). Then look at how much gasoline is used by a 2-liter engine and calculate the amount of H2 required to reach the enhancement threshold. Then do the math to work out how much electricity is needed to generate that gas by way of electrolysis. You might be surprised.
