Couldn't agree more with JoeJohn90. I live in West Virginia which is leaving a huge CO2 footprint due to all of the coal we continue to burn. If anyone thinks that burning coal isn't effecting our ozone you're ignorant. I realize that there are many men and women that work in our state in the coal business and they have families to support but coal isn't a renewable resource. We can't just go plant some coal seeds and grow more. We should be spending some funds for alternative energy!

Couldn't agree more with JoeJohn90. I live in West Virginia which is leaving a huge CO2 footprint due to all of the coal we continue to burn. If anyone thinks that burning coal isn't effecting our ozone you're ignorant. I realize that there are many men and women that work in our state in the coal business and they have families to support but coal isn't a renewable resource. We can't just go plant some coal seeds and grow more. We should be spending some funds for alternative energy!

A higher temperature change will not just affect what you would like it to affect.
Pests and storms, for example, will also affect crop yields.
When ice gets warmer, it melts and sea level rises. This is not an idea invented by weirdos. We know how much ice there is and we know what level the sea would rise to. We know how this would change the map. Its not about whether you like the people telling you this. The fact that the area of, say, New York has been submerged before, is no consolation.

greenhouse gases only heat the planet by 15-20deg above what it would otherwise be, so a 10% increase(huge) in co2(a minor greenhouse gas relative to to others), would only raise the temp. by a maximum of 1.5-2.5 degrees. also, that temperature rises in fact cause co2 increases? yes that is the relationship. and that whilst arctic ice lvls r at record lows, antarctic levels are at record highs!
