Josephine, I am filled with gratitude for your example. Some friends and I are planning a Walk About Water in response to concerns for the water in New York and PA where they are mining for gas. Now I learn of your experience, and am filled with strong feelings. Thank you for showing the way, dear sister grandmother, now I am encouraged and reassured on the correctness of my path.
Yes! We designed Walk About Water to be inclusive. We welcome all who choose to walk with us for as far as is right for them, each walker is responsible for their own sleeping arrangements however. We are also seeking speakers and entertainers for evening stops to spread the message and attract the press.

I recall my father having us walk around a small lake here in Michigan & skiing around it, we held his memorial on the same lake, he would make a fire in the deep snow &roast hot dogs& heat cocoa in the center of a garden his friends let him cultivate, & he made the earth so close to our seasonal experiences being from a city. I remember the moment mother drove home from the woods to tell us he had passed & how I cried, but how I had to lay in the grass & be cradled as I wept. megwtch
Thank u Great Grandmother, i live in Mexico, and i hear ur message loud and clear spoken in these wonderful 3 videos of YouTube, and have only words of praise and thankfulness for ur thoughts and actions. Your simple and clear message, like pure twinkling water, is an example and a guide for many people. May the Great Spirit(s) always bless u and give u strength, health and happiness.
We have thousands of lakes. She has one great lake that she really respects. Her wisdom is great. You can not drink gasoline. Those big lakes are stuff of very life. When they get polluted, life will end. They are the heart. kidneys, liver and the lungs of the America. Listen to her before it is too late.
Words of wisdom, really. Long live Josephine! I am really thankful to Ojibwa people. The Finnish immigrants were persecuted ones, but Ojibwas welcomed them. They taught Finns to survive there. How to make snow-shoes etc. The Finns used skis. But the snow-shoes are probably better there. Thank you.
We have traditionally had a similar approach to fishing and hunting: Just take what you need. No more. And say thank you.
