It's hard to forget (at any juncture) how educated these guy's are. Their musicianship, and their raw talent appeals to me in a way that I can't explain. They have a since of humor, but are true professional musicians. i hope they continue to make music for many years to come.

You can feel that this is their passion. The way that Matt wails into the microphone or how they wail on their instruments. They don't care about the money or the fame. They do this because they want to. And that is why the national stands above every other artist out there.

The National is a band that I consider to have the best lyrics, instrumentals, and vocals its really unique and amazing.

I was wondering if their are any suggestions from people for a band similar in quality to the national. I've only found 1 or 2 and they sound nothing like them but I'm asking for quality not duplications.

I have to report - I am sad to say - that I have only just 'discovered' The National. I recently bought High Violet and absolutely love it. Have just ordered Boxer and have no doubt that will blow me away as well. I am English and wonder how many Brits even know about this band.

I have to thank Radcliffe & Maconie (BBC Radio 2) for bringing them to my attention otherwise this brillient band might have always eluded me.....
