Khanacademy should be introduced to our prison system as part of a rehabilitation program! Localize the software onto prison servers and have the prison administrators monitor the progress of inmates. Create a system of incentives within the prison that rewards hard work and good progress through the material. When the inmates get a sense of pride from mastering things they always viewed as beyond them, it might inspire and empower them to reach for a brighter future.

The hierarchy of playlists and their descriptions should be included as picture file on the Khan Academy website. A lot of people using this site don't need to start from the very beginning. I was somewhat confused about the order in which the videos should be watched. Many of the videos don't correspond to exercises in the exercise tree. A 'map' of prerequisites and the order to learn would be useful.

I am retired military after over 20 yrs of honorable service. I am taking classes in Health Information Management and currently in a Basic Pathology course and Pharmacology.

I want to learn the most I can (not the sharpest tool in the shed sometimes) to be able to do the greatest good.

I would be willing to committ or obligate to a work/volunteer program for minimum compensation in exchange for education./training to aid the masses.

Have times changed. Some norms are taking AP Calculus AB in feshmen yeah in my high school and they aren't even super smart. Probably think they could skip geometry, trig and pre calc.

What do you do if you're in Pre-Calc in 9th grade and your teachers don't believe that you're smart enough to be taking the course so they purposely don't teach you very well? Not so that you'll fail but because they just don't care about you, only about the Juniors and Seniors taking Pre-Calc? PS- I skipped Trigonometry.

Yea the khan playlist would go along way but problem solving is about 70 or 80 percent of what constitutes mathematical knowledge. I heard he has or is making some software for that purpose but it wouldn't be quite complete without a good list of supplementary problems

Also I have one idea, it would be good if there where some way that people could download them so that they could be viewable on an their computers while they don't have an internet connection, or on their mp4 players. Perhaps a torrent for each section would be the cheapest/easiest way? I'm sure people (my self included) would be happy to seed for a long time.
