  • We're performing Les Mis this Christmas... I would give anything to play Eponine. Her songs and story are so beautifully tragic, but I doubt I have the voice to pull her off. And it never helps when there's that one guy you wish could play Marius beside you, especially at this moment :')

  • NEVER a dry eye in the house when it's done right... This was perfect. I'm sobbing my eyes out... for what's prob the 1000th time lol

  • I wish they still did the kiss at the end :'(

  • Waaaaaaahhh!!!!!!

My school is putting on this production, and I'm in the violins.

When it gets to this bit, I can't play because I'm crying too hard!

Eponine is my favourite character, why does she have to die?!

  • I thought she died wonderfuly

  • Seen this play a dozen times and they NEVER sing clear enough to understand what they are saying. I had to memorize the soundtrack before I went to see it a second time and I stopped taking people with me to see it because no one could understand them.

  • I love Eponine

  • I always start crying when they all carry Epoinene's dead body at the end!!!!!!

  • It's so sweet how he holds her. xxx

  • this is one of the few videos that has the end portion included. Thanks you! i really do enjoy it, and it's sad that most don't include it.

  • i like Marius here.He is very good,nice voice and romantic!!!!!<3

  • I really dont like this girl as Eponine :S

There was no chemistry between them

  • Marius's expresions while eponine dies is.... I'm sorry to say this I love the musical..... Well their funny. It doesn't really look like he's sad in some parts. N eponine is way to dramatic like on one part she falls back like she's dead but then gets up. The version I saw in London was btr than this

  • we r doing the school edition of les miserables at my school in 2 days lol and i got the part of eponine. I think it is actually quiete hard to get all the emotions of that character right. wat do u think i should do?

  • having been eponine in our version... dont over do it... WORSE POSSIBLE MISTAKE you dont want it to look like your fallig asleep either... find a balance between pain and yearning for this scene with a hint of deseperation. you must be conscious that youre dying and still, you came back for your love

  • I love that he kisses her! it makes it so sweet and romantic and even more sad. it's like he really did love her deep down, but didn't realize it until then..... but maybe that's just romantic of me :P

  • Her voice is good, and she's not Eppie-Sue-ish as the others are typically. But Marius is too in love with her...like ins't her supposed to kiss her fore-head not her lips? And he holds her way too close.

I always get so sad when they carry her away, cuz it really hits you that she's dead.

  • Just a question. What, in your mind, would make an Eponine Eppie-Sue-ish? I'm going to play Eponine in the School Edition of Les Mis this next spring... and I'm trying to prepare myself for the character in every way possible. I'm trying to find the best interpretations of the songs, the best way to act them out... basically, I'm still in the molding stage and I'd like to end up doing the best I can. Have any suggestions? Recommendations?

  • If you make her all sweet and innocent, thats Eppie-Su-ish. Eponine is a nice girl and all, but's she a little crazy and she's got to be a little street tough. Don't make her pronouncation too prefect, because she is a member of the mostly uneducated lower class. Your director may tell you otherwise but I hope this helps! And congrats on getting the part!

  • Thanks so much! That really helps. And I guess that's the sense I got when I saw Les Mis in London this summer and when I've watched the pros on youtube. I'm going to re-read the book and pay attention to her character this time. Ha ha. Yes, I don't want to be a Cosette in rags... I want to be Eponine, the spunky, crazy, yet sensitive street-girl. Got it.

  • Your welcome! And good luck!

  • This was beautiful by both actors, but I think Marius seemed a little to much "in love" with Eponine rather than her best friend which is what it's supposed to be. For instance, the kiss in the end, seemed to lovey dovey. It was good though!

  • What ARE you talking about?

  • Marius Picked the wrong girl if you ask me. I think he saw doller signs with Cossette.

  • this is brilliant i would love 2 this even got the voice.Soz being bold again

  • I love this scene... so moving. I adore Eponine, she is [for me] the best character in the story, this song just shows all the braveness, trueness and suffering. And the end... the words they say when she is gone, and how Marius finally shows he at least cared about her... wow! best musical in thw world

  • Can anyone help me to find the dvd of the musical in London?

    thx

  • Maggie Sullyvan is the actual Eponine and she is amazing, and beautiful, I prefer her than this one

  • Then why are you watching it?

  • i love the singing and the song, but REALLY no offense, REALLY no offense, i mean it, at the beginning, at 0.09, eponine's....... ah, forget it, i cant bring myself to type it.

  • thats a booty and a half

  • is that thing real? i'm sorry but it's HUGE!

  • I was like..."What are these guys talking about?!" Then I watched it again and got it almost instantly. Yeah. Wow.

  • This song is so bittersweet...how Eponine finally gets to be with Marius as she dies...I think my lifelong dream now is to play Eponine in a production of Les Mis, even if it's just for this song and "On My Own". They're both breathtakingly beautiful...

  • some of the best!

  • i love this song it is like my favourite song in the whole play

  • I love this song! It's very sad but very beautiful. To me, the most shameful cut made in the school production is this song. I mean the completely skip the tear-jerking lines! Why would they cut "I'll sleep in your embrace at last."? Brings a tear to my eye just typing it. Why do they have to cut that part of song? Why I ask you?

  • I agree with you 100%!!

  • That Enjolras looks like Orlando Bloom!

  • wow what a great show. i've seen it twice and I am in a production of it this year. not as eponine though...or cossette, fantine or madame T

yes I am the pimp...hurray for me

  • The pimp's a boy....are you disguised?

  • The part where they kiss makes the scene very sad :) x

  • and how cute is that marius : )

  • the acting isnt strange! shes bleeding to death and wants to just spend the last few minutes in her loves arms because she knows that shes gonna die and that marius and cosette belong together.

  • gosh talk about making a girl cry! wow! Jade.xx

  • I wanna cry like a little baby when he kisses her....so sweet

  • great hair extensions on marius

  • why doesn't she look at him in the first half of the song? I mean, she loves him...She sounds good, but the acting was really strange.
