  • is the mameluke still used in the marines?

  • @300MUSIC- The officers use it still. And the Marines are the only service to give NCO's a sword. I like Cold Steels version, brass instead of gold plate and sharp.

  • I just bought two USMC swords off ebay one Marine Corp Officers Sword WITH the engraved blade beautiful and 30 incehs on the actual blade and the ever so famouse NCO Sword also with the engraved blade both beautiful swords....Semper Fidelis!

  • About how much is a sword?

  • depends what you get....such as NCO Sword or whatever and if it's real or a replica....i got replicas so i could afford it...but if you want to get real it will probably be around $80-$100 as an estimate...but the replicas will range about in the $50 family

  • a real nco sword is around $450.

  • never said it was real...they are just replicas

  • o no u miss understand i was just saying how much the real ones cost. sry if u thought i was insulting u, cuz i wasnt. n u can get a cheap rep at amazon fer 25. sry fer the missunderstanding if there was any.lol

  • if your man enough you dont buy the sword you earn it

  • @shadddey5

im sorry but i believe that the US Marine sword is something you just cant buy off of some website you gotta earn it.

  • @shadddey5 why

  • i have a nco sword

  • it is not a sword. it is a Marine Corps Saber. they are different. my fathers is in th attic in a velvet case. craftsmanship is impecable. and again its not a sword, it is a saber. there is no cutting edge, but the end is extremely pointy so be careful.

  • A saber is a sword.

  • WUT WUD EWE DEW... If u were asked to give up yer life fer freedumm?

  • nice how ever you forgot a few things. #1 the length of the blade depends upon the height of the Marine. #2 Marine Corps, make sure you capitalize both please. #3 The sword knot, a black cord that goes from the hole in the pommel to the acorn on the bottom of the quillion.

  • I'm curious, what's the name of the song on the soundtrack to this video & who sings it? Sounds like it might be one of those '80s, "hair metal" bands (i.e. The kinda music I grew up w/). Anyways, just thought I'd ask! Laters!

  • One Life, One Soul By Gotthard
