It's a place to be safe from the world. If you look at history, my people have never really been safe wherever we go. The Palestinians were originally allowed to stay and be citizens, it wasn't until the Independence war, that the Arab states told them to leave, saying they could come back once the Jews were thrown into the sea. Other people who aren't Jewish live in Israel with full-rights. Look at the Druze and Christians, among other smaller refugee numbers.

Please, tell me why the Jewish people should ever trust the world with their safety after the Holocaust? I am not being cynical. But since Israel insists on being recognized as a Jewish state, I think we need to know what that means. Presumably, it means that a certain minimum level of citizens must be Jewish. What is that level?

Well, we have to take into account how many people can live in the country, how many can the state sustain? I don't know, I'm not a politician or a policy maker. I believe in a two-state solution and peace, and thats what I'm leaving with. I just wanted to say that there are Jews, who are zionists that don't fall into the wacko category.

I am not interested in how many people can live in a set area, but rather what percentage must be Jewish in order for Israel to be the Jewish state that it insists on being called. I think in all likelihood, it means a clear majority must be Jewish. While many (all?) countries are racist, to establish a nation based on racism is a new level. Matched only by maybe Islamic fundamentalist nations. How can a moral person support a nation that exists on such a racist basis?
