i was looking to get tl but the 6 banger scared me. i ended up getting 2007 tsx. cheeper to insure, fill up, and maintain then the german cars. and for a student, i got to go with the cheeper hehe. acura for life!

A 1984 BMW 325i will look better then an acura (as ik looks better then virtually anything in this class) but saying a modern day BMW 3 looks better then this Acura?

Don't think so, modern BMWs are cars for pimps with a horrible taste of cars.

ive been driving a black 07 tsx for around 6 months now so far so good. not the most torque, but the engine holds its own at mid to high speed, producing some nice revving sounds for a 4 banger and its actually alot faster than i thought it would be. think abt it, alot of v6's have 200 hp, including the 07 Mercedes c class, previous gen mustangs whatev .and to have 205 hp w a 4 banger and still get 30 mpg, well i think thats pretty good. love the interior and the way the car handles.

i disagree with the narrator. yes, the lexus is looks good, but the bmw actually looks more like a higher end honda civic. the acura looks waay better.

this reviewer is an idiot, his comment on the looks of the front end was stupid. tsx is far better looking then the is250. the lexus is250 looks like a mazda 3, which is pretty sad for the high overpriced car

the new 3 series do not look as good as he previous generation. the e46 body style was the best. bmw has cheapened its brand, with a poor quality interrior, and ugly dwarf like sedan body style. the coupe is the only exception

yeah plus you cant fit a 10 yr old in the back, plus v6 gets trash millage with no real power. This gen TSX will go down as a classic. To bad acura is trash now.

it had way too many problems then good. First of all, it's price. For it's spec 205hp 168 torque it is nowhere near its 28K base price.

It was slow, so many widespread rattles in the cabin, a lot of road noise while driving, and the 2004 model all had problems with the AC breaking down. Also, the pathetic inline 4 engine they put int this thing was quite pathetic.

@Jamzkangster those problems were mostly isolated to the 2004 (initial year) TSX.  i had a 2005 and it was solid as a rock.

2005-2008 were pretty much bulletproof. there were some minor problems with some bluetooth phones (depending on the model), but other than that, it was a great car.

2009-2010 on the other hand....engine pinging, speaker blowouts due to a crappy amp in the tech models, brakes that squeal and wear out in 10-20k miles....yeah.

LOL at the idiot who said this piece of shit is better than the IS250.

first of all, this car is a FWD...FWD for a 26-30k sports model = fail.

Secondly, it's only 0.9 seconds faster than the heavier, yet more luxurious Lexus on a straight away...What a moron.

And lets not even talk about handles, the Is250 kills this mouse of a looking car easily.

BTW, the 2009 TSX uses more quality material inside it's cabinet than this car, and is about 0.5 faster than this even though it's heavier.

tsx is cheaper and more balanced, its more practical to actually drive everyday, IS is more expensive u can buy a much faster,maybe older sports car for that money

this is better, I've driven both, I now own a 6MT 08 TSX and it is faster than the IS, it is better equipped standard, and it handles incredibly well despite having the front wheel drive chassis.

sharksfan25, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Acura was started in the U.S. before Lexus. But that's not important.

What is important is that Acura focuses on driving pleasure and value rather than muscly performance and an expensive RWD drivetrain. I'm not too much of an Acura fan boy (I'd rather drive the Lexus and BMW), but it's unfair to compare Acura's marketing strategy with BMW and Lexus.

And you gotta admit, hitting i-VTEC at 6,000ish RPM is pretty cool.

you fail to realize that honda f1 team has highest success rate (better than ferrari). honda f1 is the most advanced and its i-vtec goes down in history as one of the most successful engine's. its not always about whos faster that matters, for honda/acura it has always been about balance between performance and value. if honda made a model in the price range as the is-f, i guarantee you it would wipe every car off the street. The new acura nsx will regain automobile dominance/superiority.

oh, one more thing!!! wtf is up with acura's styling? the new ones all look like some ford focus or something. it doesnt advance a bit like they claim. so go really see for yourself, how this ugly shit compares to a lexus is. dont matter if its 250, 350 or F. speaking of F, is there an acura model that competes with AMG or M? i dont think so. maybe the nsx when it comes out. lexus has built a high performance sportscar thats design to take on ferrari and etc. acura cant beat lexus period!!!!

are you serious. The is250 is even more underpowered. All the lexus models look bland and unappealing. The IS has absolutely no leg space in the back, and he stated that the tsx is faster than the is250. The styling of the IS is butt ass ugly too. And if your talking about cars that have labels and that's it, then it would have to be with lexus.

yes,i've. it sucked badly. haha, this car can beat a IS250? for the money. but what comes with it,it doesnt stand a chance. for instance, all of the IS comes standard with a keyless entry card, requires no key to start it up. its like turning on and off a tv. its that easy. this ugly shit doesnt have it at all. not even on the 09 models. plus, this thing is only FWD, while is250 offers AWS or RWD. the 09 tl has the keyless start but as an option. acura is a copycat. copies everything from lexus!

Thank god they do, because Acuras are much cheaper yet give the same performance and quality as a Lexus. I'd rather pay for more car than more "name".
