  • Okej i guess i can learn it alone ! :P

  • there is no way you made the whole song that fast.. O_o good song by the way

  • I did not get a shiiit

  • so you use just Nuendo as your primary equipment/software? No need for beat pads or any of that bullshit right?

  • @JoshPelekaiOfficial Pretty much. Nuendo/Cubase SX (they're virtually the same) allows millions of software-synths/drummachines/samplers to run within it so you can do a lot just there. I have a few external bits of gear just for variety (and they sound a bit better on the whole). I use a microKorg, Waldorf Blofeld and an KORG ER-1 mkII to record into Cubase along with the things mentioned above.

  • what program is this?

  • @robotica005 Look at the name in the topright corner. It says Nuendo

  • @ManoloPrimevera Me too :|

  • @tuneadoes Where does it say 'tutorial'?

  • IM BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pretty generic, but ok

  • Can you make a song like Interlude by Attack Attack! using this program? If you can't do you know a program that I can use?

  • That square that appears at 0:16, what VST was that created with?

  • @rationalthinkermusic The red thing is a synth called TOAD from tweakbench (they're online), the purple lines indicate a chord that was triggering the Blofeld by Waldorf (I think!)...

  • @reinforcedpenisstem I wasn't commenting on the visuals, ut rather the "square" oscillator sound. Thanks anyway!

  • @rationalthinkermusic Whoops. OK that is the Blofeld anyway - it's got massive mono-synth sounds.

  • Comment removed

  • All these software ableton, cubase, reason are so overused... basics have been made years ago and they forget about the accessibility an instrument should have...

Found my own producing way and my stuff are about to be signed on a british label and I'm making electronic music only since this summer ^^

  • hey buddy.... wts da software is it protools?

  • @musha336 It's Nuendo, from Steinberg, the same creators of Cubase and VST technology.

  • @rationalthinkermusic tanx bro.

  • Ah, this is pretty dope. Keep it up!

  • i enjoyed this! nice idea

  • @paralelSun Thanks - I'm working on a new one that is about the mixing process...

  • Lol cubase. I have it but the vst's are soo terrible.

  • @TheDarkDominatoR Yeah the 'free' ones that come with it are bad. Even most of the third-party ones are average at best. Nothing beats the DSP of outboard equipment (so far).

  • @reinforcedpenisstem its getting pretty close... i love outboard gear..

  • its to hard and i would never ever and i wd nevr download this

  • CuBase , I have it but i lost my " Steinberg Key Pass" :(

  • What program is this?

  • @reinforcedpenisstem Ok, thank you very much. =]

Do you have to download or buy this program?

  • @aNiViSuAlKeI You gotta' buy it or get it through the 'other' channels... The program is now up to v4. See it at steinberg [dot] net

  • 99% WAV-Files or other Samples? Thats not making music ;)

  • @HELLSPAWN1973 You can see that most of the stuff in the session was recorded in - this may be the 'real' way of doing it, but it takes much, much longer. And are the results all that different? I'm not sure anymore...

  • @HELLSPAWN1973

looks like you need to revise your definition of 'music'

  • Hey, very nice track. What's the drum samples used here?

  • Hey, very nice track. What's the vst drums used here?

  • Hey,it's very nice track.Which's the vst drums used here?

  • @MrEmelectricc Thanks. I used a KORG Electribe Mk. II mostly, and also a vst drum kit from the Tweakbench site.

  • how YOU make electronic music. wanna know what i do? i buy a syntheisizer and drum machine and crank up the mixer. no i'm kidding, i use puter programs too. BUT, softsynths are gay, i record real synths onto them.

  • @MclaughinRecords

Soft-synths are not as good as the real thing. But drum machine synths are fine I think. The things from 'Tweakbench' are good.

  • I agree. This is too complicated and having you speed up everything doesn't really help. nice music anyway.

  • This too complicated, if u got brain for this, why not buy simpler programs?

  • i want to look into different softwares like this; it looks promising. is it as good as logic studio? thats what im using a the moment. im trying to release an EP this year :D do you have any tips on how to get signed?

  • I wonder how people like Armin van Buuren make all those music for his podcasts and such, is it made this way?

  • I'm not that familiar with him, but I would say probably not. This is the long-way of making music. DJs use sample libraries and mix things together. Never would they micro-edit like I am doing in this clip - it just takes too long. I get about one song a month finished!

  • The program steinbergs Nuendo. Which version , not a clue. I use it for all my non live stuff.

  • from wat i've seen from videos on the internet, it looks like its the most widely used version of Steinbergs Cubase program and this looks like Cubase SX which is the one i've seen in MANY videos on the internet

  • It says Nuendo in the upper left corner Sherlock. Keep on Rock'n slick!

  • where can i download this program?

  • winderfull

  • what program did you use to creat this song?

  • that is the Nuendo, it's a vey reliable software to create and edit songs, you can download it from the internet for free.!

  • in which program did you do it?? :D

  • Hmm I donno, MAYBE READ THE TITLE OF THE PROGRAM IN THE VIDEO??

  • @KenanVideos it doesnt say it there you dumb fuck

  • Unless you are blind, you can clearly see that it says Nuendo. Read the comment properly next time.

  • Does Dumb Fuck.

  • @MacAndRick who's this random calling me a dumb fuck then, and im not talkin to you im talkin to ur mother so go mind ur own bisseness lol

  • Me. Because thats what you are the program name IS in the video. Also you should really to learn to spell.

  • oh really is it because i cant be fuked writing word "your" properly? well incase if u didnt know there is a shorter way to rite it and i do it all the time u smart fuk,oh rite just noticed i mispelled buseness, well because i misspeled one fukin word wat makes u do such assumtions like i cant spell u dont even fukin kno me u cunt

  • Would you like me to spell check that last post for you sir?

Haha you still spelt Business wrong.

    You really do fail.

  • and you spelled "spelled" wrong lol

  • @loafy3112 "Spelt" is British English. "Real" English, in other words. So it is very much correct. "Spelled" is the American-English way of spelling it. It is equally as correct, but yes. Not the original way of spelling it, though, meaning he most certainly wasn't wrong.

  • cubase maybe

  • Hey, congrats! This is quite professional. A question that always bothered me, how do you get the sounds? do you use a keyboard with a MIDI plugin, fruity loops or what?

Also, is that Cubase? hard to say, cause I have SX1...

  • For sounds I use a microKorg, a Waldorf Blofeld, an Korg ER-1, and then a bunch of samples that I've made over the years that I trigger with Native Instruments Komplete (and others).

The software is Nuendo, (which is virtually identicl to Cubase (both by Steinberg). Thanks.

  • Oh my how long did this take you to make? It's amazing xD

  • Hard to say... I think maybe three 2-hour sessions, plus a little bit more for the video editing... Thanks for the comment.

  • I'm really liking the tune! What software would you recommend to someone who's completely new to it all and doesn't want something overly complicated? Thanks in advance.

  • Ableton Live v7.0 is great. Not too expensive either. It's nothing like what the video shows, it's much more simplified. Good luck.

  • I wish I wasn't gay.

  • Hahaa...

  • lol what!

  • what is name it program electronic mix please

  • It's 'Steinberg Nuendo v2' running on my notebook.

  • what vsti's did u use for? i mean those arpeggiator sounds.......also the electric guitar sounds?

  • I used some intruments from the Tweakbench collection (they're free at tweakbench[dot]com). But mainly, I used a Korg ER-1 for drums, a Waldorf Blofeld for synth sounds, and maybe my microKorg for synth sounds too.

  • that is cool

  • Thanx man.

  • nah that stuff is way too expensive for you, download some free software called LMMS, or linux multimedia studio. it's set out very similarly to FL studio, but it's free. it's not as advanced but it's much easier to use and still hosts VST's and stuff. give it a try

  • You can use Steinberg Cubase SX (like the video), or you can use Logic Audio, or Ableton Live, or even one called Acid or one called Fruity Loops. The first two I mention are in a different league (very sophisticated) while Ableton mainly uses audio loops (great programme) and Acid and Fruity Loops are more amateur-esque programmes. I suggest Ableton to you

  • ...But it's a bit easier to use a keyboard at times, as it can make your music sound a little more natural when needed. Also, it's good to figure out bass lines with a keyboard - writing them in with the mouse can be difficult.

  • You don't need a keyboard (or MIDI controller). You can use the mouse to write in notes, rhythms as well as mix and write in automation (that's where you control the mixer/effects/synths etc. parameters to change over time).

  • what is this software called? can i download the full version anywhere?

  • on this program can yu insert yur own voice singing and mix it in wit hthe music???

  • You sure can. It is totally flexible and an industry standard software suite. You can treat the software as a true digital workstation. This means unlimted tracks of audio and MIDI and also video tracks.

  • whats this program name ?

  • It's Steinberg Nuendo v2 running on my notebook.

  • Where do you get the drum beats from? Do you grab samples from random places and stitch them together, or does Nuendo come with drum beats, or how does that process work?

  • Actually, for this song, I used a KORG Electribe drum machine (ER-1 Mk. II). The red diamonds that you see being shuffled about are midi note-on signals that are being sent to this drum machine (at about 1:20 in the video). The benefit of using a drum machine like this is that the sound quality (DSP) inside the KORG is superior to software-synthesisers (in my view). Not to say that I dont use them on occasion. I try not to use samples all that often.

  • Brilliant idea !!Great work !!

  • Thanx man!

  • i use garageband

  • where is the download link for that?

  • Download link for what? The video?

  • no i ment the program to make electro music

  • Actually you have to buy it from Steinberg. It's great software and it's up to v3.x now. I'm sure the usual peer-2-peer software has it!

  • this is a cool song, sounds like game music

  • Thanks man. I love video game music too.

  • cheap, try using a korg triton workstation

  • this may be a stupid question but is this how bands like blood on the dance floor make electronic music? because i've been wanting to make it for a long time. i just dont know how exactly

  • Not a stupid question at all. Actually, most bands/acts wouldn't do things quite like I have here. I think that they would mostly used pre-recorded "samples" and arrange them. I actually record my own sounds and arrange thing the long-handed way. That's only because I find that part good fun...

  • very nice!

  • Thanks friend.

  • Omg dude...

if i shoud give you a note from 1 to 10

you got 20 for performants and a 11 for sounds.

Keepit up.. practice leads to perfection

  • I'll take that as a compliment!

    Thanks friend.

  • what program is that

  • It's Steinberg Nuendo v2 running on my notebook.

  • Rad.

  • Thanks ThommyWillB
