  • one thing I hate about Dickensian stories is how many unrealistic coincidences there are.

  • lovely :)

  • i just watches the second showing on pbs and i an dying to see it next week continue....i never have been intrested in movies like this~but i loved it! now that i seen the ending on youtube, i am very excited to see the ending next week...i am so happy that they end up together!!! yeah Litlle Dorrit!

  • perfect :)

  • a Beauty... thankyou so much for sharing

  • i dont know, i may be too emotional at the moment, but this video is beautiful. it f**** made me cry!

  • @therubysinger also 1995 sense and sensibility, which I personally think is the best

bleak house, 1980 room with a view. Enjoy!

  • @therubysinger you could try 2009 emma(which i personally find the best out of the three), the abduction club, northanger abbey, wives and daughters, the inheritence or our mutual friend. There is so many to choose from :D

  • What a beautiful vid! I loved this miniseries, and I love every single version of Scarborough Fair, it's such a beautiful song. Well done!

  • Thank you this was beautiful! and the use of Scarbourough Fair led to the elegance!

  • A1121000 -- The song's is by P. Simon and A. Garfunkel: P, S, R & Thyme...also used in, "The Graduate" very effectively. I think that song has an old-world feel that we somehow remember from somewhere we have never been to before....

  • can anyone let me kow thename of the song?

  • How very lovely..watched it twice..I am on page 728 of the book and am already looking forward to rereading it. So much to grasp. Thank you for posting this lovely visual.

  • Loved it. if you were on my course at college. You would get a Distinction. I loved the pace, and the technique of editing you have is superb.

  • are they married?

  • in the drama they get married in the end :)

  • @romana55 woot, woot!

  • This is fantastic. I agree with the majority of people here saying, the music is perfect for this!

  • wow venice ive always wanted to go there

  • Hello sallyannerenee! Can you send me the series of little dorrit as well? I've been looking for it but can't seem to find it. Is it under a different name? Thanks a bunch!

  • no, its 2008 ;)

  • where can i find this series to watch? does anyone know if its in youtube or on a site like it?

  • Little Dorrit's here, I'll send it to you.

  • which is the name of the song? it's perfect fo this video!

  • Scarborough Fair by Simon and Garfunkel

I love the floaty feel of the song

  • Beautifully done - love the song choice.

  • Gorgeous piece of work, romana55. The music was absolutely perfect.

  • wonderful!!:) great song choice!!

  • beautiful:D

  • This is so beautiful, the editing and the song, it couldn't be any better. Oh, I adore Arthur and Amy! And I love watching the face of wonderful Matthew Macfadyen! Thank you!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful work!!!!! I was completely captivated by this story from the start.!!!!!!

  • me and my mate watched this together everytime a new episode came on! we love Arthur Clenum!

  • Matthew Macfadyen's version of Arthur Clenum is soooo sweet and endearing

both him and Claire Foy as Amy are perfect together and I adored the scenes set in Venice

  • This movie was remarkable. Not afraid to say that I cried when John yelled at Arthur in the cell. "I'm doing it for her!" Didn't expect that from him at all. Thanks for the video.

  • Yeah gotta feel for John, he was a wonderful character

  • outstanding it is so wonderfull, i loved the program and this video just made me smile so much!!

  • Beatutiful!!!

    Thank you.

  • i love matthew macfayden

  • love the video!

    love the music..Simon and Garfunkel..great!

  • Beautiful video,Romana!

The clips and music are lovely...your editing is perfection...I love it!

    5 stars & Faved.

  • loved the part where Arthur kisses Amy and is like walking around the room holding her...adorable!

  • Just watched the last episode of it on PBS. The quintessential story of suffering, sacrifice and the love that it ultimately yields. What I loved most was the humility - especially that of Amy and Arthur. As it is written in Proverbs 31: "Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies." Indeed.

  • ugh i totally agree woth you

  • Love your scenes here, but I also loved the finale w/A & A's ilu scenes and John Chivary's tearful declaration of how he loved Amy, but she loved Arthur.

I also liked Fanny & Edmund because they wwere pretty funny. Fanny's quite the schemer indeed! Esp. to Mrs. Merdle. lol!

  • omg, i know. . . arthur looked totally shell shocked after john told him that. my sisters and i almost died laughing because john was such a baby, of course we sobered up pretty quickly though.

    i

  • Just finished watching it a few minutes ago, loved the ending it was good :)

  • Me too! I was so happy (still am, I can't stop smiling :D)

  • you've already seen the whole movie i'm assuming. my fam and i are watching it on sunday nights and we have two more days until all of the pieces to this movie are finally put together.

hope everything ends happily like in your vid.

  • Thank you

I hope your enjoying it, its a beautiful remake of Little Dorritt with perfect casting of Amy and Matthew and It was alot of fun making this romantic video

  • That was gorgeous! Beautiful editing and I love the song choice...really well done video. 5 stars and fav'd!

  • This piece of music was absolutely wonderful to accompany this video! Thank you for sharing this. Made my day!

  • You captured Arthur and Amy's relationship beautifully, the effects were well done. I'm glad that Amy was finally able to find some happiness at last!

  • Thank you so much for your support of my video

You are really rooting for a happy ending for Amy and Arthur in this version, I alawys loved this song, perfect for period drama vids :)

  • I love how you take the time to respond to so many people's comments! You get a gold medal for that ;-) Anyway, the conclusion for Little Dorrit comes this Sunday for us in the US, I can't wait! Too bad I can't have Matthew Macfayden for myself...but I'll live lol.

  • Yay! a gold medal thank you :)

Getting comments means alot to me and I try to reply as often as I can

  • what a fantastic video....

i think all the cast of the serie is very good, Claire Foy in Amy and MM in Arthur are fantastic, you did a very nice video, thank you and kisses from France from a French fan of Matthew Macfadyen...

  • *hugs* thank you for your warm support of my video

I make them with love to share

    Keep supporting my vids

    Matthew has a beautiful smile

  • That was really very well done. Thank you.

  • I have to admit I was skeptical before I played your video, but you did a very nice job. I especially liked the spiral staircase and the papers falling. The fades between shots are very deftly executed. If you're not a professional, you should be proud of this work.

  • Very classy take on one of the best TV shows and love stories in years. Thank you for your good work!

  • where did you get all those clips from the next episode?

  • Beautiful, really beautiful work; well done! Such effective use of fade-ins to reflect Amy and Arthur's elusive relationship, their distance yet closeness of hearts, and Arthur's growing realization of just how much Amy means to him. The music supports this dream-like quality. Thank you for capturing so well and with such beauty their emerging relationship. Carry on with the fine work!

  • Amy Dorrit was the only sane person in her family I thought. such a sweet kind girl. not enough of them in this world. I feel bad for the guy who had a crush on her but happy for her she ended up with the man she loves.

  • She really was, and she was the only one aside from maybe her uncle that really enjoyed taking in italy...i think if i were her I might have assualted fanny or her father...she has some serious patience!

  • Very whimsical- very beautiful

  • is this movie on youtube?

  • Absolutely, the 1988 film & BBC/PBS update are complete!

  • Very beautiful. :)

  • oh, I love it ! great work

  • i haven't actually seen this yet. But I want to know all the same--do they really end up together????

  • Yes! a happy ending for them

Its a great version of the story

  • Yes

  • I hope YouTube doesn;t take down this video : (

It's so beautiful, summing up Amy and Arthur's love : )

    Good job romana55!

  • Thanks

Yeah I hope they don't as it is very popular :)

  • i had heard about this series and was curious about it but i didnt realize how good it looked until i watched this. i am so impressed if you made this video because you highlighted their romance so well and the music fit perfectly and this should be your profession.

  • My videos show how much I loved these characters together, a beautiful love story and an excellant remake Matthew was perfect casting

Its also important too to find the right song

I would love to have more time to do video making, its a very creative medium

  • The hour is set aside to watch PBS Little Dorrit. This video makes me that more anxious for tomorrow evening. Thank you for the tickler.

  • Little Dorritt was best drama on BBC in a long while

  • All my compliments, Romana!!! Really a good job. Thx

  • Your very kind keep supporting my work

  • good job. it's also one of my fav songs :D

  • This Simon and Garfunkel song reminds me of summer and happy thoughts

I thought this video had a feel of drifting, floating watching videos like this is a good way to unwind and de-stress

  • Which is exactly why I am here right now! =) Thank you so much for this - it's beautiful!

  • Wow, my favourite video, i can´t stop watching this! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Matthew is so brilliant in this serie....Romana, where are you from? I am Czech....

  • I am from the UK

Thanks for taking time to comment

Apologise for the delay in replying I try to catch up with responses when I can :)

  • Beautiful video! I really enjoyed this adaptation! Great job and choice of song. Thanks for sharing :)

  • Wow! That was really good :) I wish someone would upload that, it looks great!

  • When did they kiss?!

  • Final episode had quite a few kisses :)

It took him long enough to see Amy adored and loved him lol

  • wow a purple wedding dress?! that's kind of neat actually :)

    love matthew macfadyen!

bbc version of little dorrit is great

  • Actually, the custom of wearing a white wedding dress didn't begin until Queen Victoria wore one at her 1840 marriage to Prince Albert. As Little Dorrit is set in the Georgian era (somewhere in the 1820s), colored wedding dresses were still quite the norm! =)

  • Purple is my fav colour :)

Matthew is so brilliant in this drama

  • Purple wedding gown! :-D

  • I usually hate these little music montages. But yours is just so beautiful.

The music is so well fitted with the movie. The tech. features were so good.

  • I love it! Thank you :-)!

  • I really want to see this adaption but I've no idea how. grr, so frustrating!

  • Comment removed

  • That was amazing!

    Love Little Dorrit! x

  • This is really very well done!

  • I like both your Pt.1&2 videos. Thanks for the download links. The quality of the avi clips you got were quite good. :))

  • Thank you, yes the avi quality was pretty good :)

  • That is a really beautiful piece of editing - the music is perfect!!

  • Thank you, I love clip blending and overlaying, all the time I want to learn new techniques :)

  • Beautifully done! Thank you for sharing...

  • This is one of my favorite videos. I return to it again and again. It is absolutely beautiful!!!!!

  • Aww yes thank you, it is a beautiful video

I like to watch it when I've had a stressful day, its very soothing and calming

Plus such a beautiful retelling of the love story between Arthur and Amy

  • This is a FANTASTIC video...and I agree that is a terrific PBS series. I would have never have thought of using that song, but it was perfect. Thank you! This love story ranks right up there with P&P, in my opinion. I think the casting of Claire Foy and MM helps a lot, in that regard.

  • This video is GORGEOUS! I have been desperate to vid Little Dorrit since I saw the last episode-where on earth did you get your clips??? 5* and favourite xx

  • I got the clips from full avi episodes I downloaded

message me at my youtube channel for more info

  • This is such a beautiful video. Thanks for putting it up.

  • Thanks so much for the lovely video that you clearly spent a lot of time and effort with !!I really enjoyed it! I als managed to get a glimpse of the first part before it was removed. I loved the use of the same song with different artists! I am so curius as to where you got the fotage though as i find it so incredibly frustrating not to be in the correct post code to enjoy the show ! Any way thanks so much You do beautiful work! Thanks again

  • Thanks

I have a special place I go to to get all my avi of tv shows, message me for more info

  • bellissimo video!Finalmente il finale,

    MM ottimo attore.

  • Wow, lovely video! I'd never known of this adaptation until I stumbled across your beautiful video, and now I hope that the earlier comment is true and that PBS will show it here in the US. It looks great.

  • I absolutely love this, perfect song for the perfect couple. Wasn't it nice that two of the kindest people in the world found one another. Thank you so much, you are so clever!

  • Beautiful video. I loved the moments you captured between Arthur and Amy and loved your S&G song - perfect choice!

  • Matthew, Claire, Simon and Garfunkel, one of my favorite songs. PERFECT.

  • Thank you for this video!!! The BBC removed the series from youtube for copyright violation, but it will be shown in the USA in the spring on PBS!! Matthew and Claire are both great in this!!

  • amazing x

  • Beautiful editing! Loved the scenes in Venice, my favourite city.

Thank you for the video. Love from Scarborough.

  • Thank you sweety, I liked the dreamy feel to it

I love Venice too, I went there in 1992 as part of an art trip

It is expensive to buy things there, but I had to get some Venician masks :)

  • This was super. I saw part 1 and commented on the need for a final treatment of their cerebral affair. You have done well. It was also my glimpse of the conclusion which I will see next April. What happened to part 1?

  • Part 1 got removed by Youtube for violation :(

So enjoy this while it lasts

    Thanks for your comment

  • Since you have talent for finding and capturing important moments of interaction between Arthur and Amy would you have interest in performing such a service with the 1987 film? It has not the glittering popularly drawn picture of this new series but it contains many moments of subtle intimacy between them and was the first Little Dorrit in decades.

  • Thank you, thats kind of you :)

Is that the one with Derck Jacobi?

I don't have the film but I recall the Amy & Arthur relationship in it was very tender and sweet

  • Hmm, thought I already left a comment, anyway, yeah, great video, well made. Really enjoyed this series, and what a final episode!

  • Thank you :)

I loved the final ep, such alot going on in it

and Amy finally got her Arthur

Andy Serkis was brilliant as the central villian too

Had a play with Sony Vegas Pro8 to get that soft edge effect

  • The song was so beautifully put with the video effects - very sweet. Just learned of this series a couple days ago and since I'm in the US who knows when I'd get to see it - besides maybe youtube - the angst of waiting is just too much! Thanks for feeding the need though with such a nice video.

  • Thank you very much

It was such a lovely period drama series

send me a private Message if you want episode links ;)

  • A lovely video of a wonderful series

  • Thanks :)

Yes it was a great series but I wished the BBC had just shown it on Sunday's when period drama's are usually shown, 2 parts a week in the week was weird

Matthew Macfayden was so lovely as Arthur

and as always Andy Serkis was outstanding

  • Love your video! I couldn't agree more, Matthew Macfadyen and Claire Foy were wonderful!!! Thank you for this!!!

  • el video es hermoso.tiene mucha belleza, la edición de las imágenes.realza esta historia de amor que hemos visto tan bien hecho.

    y love matthew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I loved your video ....

I know the story, but only able to watch the episode 8. The others are in the utube but can not access, unfortunately ....

I do not know the reason. Appears that the message is unavailable for Brazil. I love all the work of Matthew Macfadyen

  • Uma linda estória......

Pena que aqui no Brasil estamos impedidos de assistir a partir do Episódio 11....

    O vídeo está OK!

  • I do not speak your language, but I hope you enjoyed the video

I think this is correct as I am female??

    Obrigada

    :)

  • Great vid!

  • Thank you, I really loved this BBC version of Little Dorrit

Matthew Macfadyen and Claire Foy perfectly cast as Arthur and Amy I thought

some parts of this video used Sony Vegas Pro8 trial, a great programme to use
