You must first convert some of your enemy into units with the temple. You can assign these units to be either archer, mage, workman, or the pointless-because-of-mage-spel­ls suicide bomber.

If you convert 5 and use none, you will see 5 stick figures in the upper right. You can store an infinate amout, but it will only display about 10. You do not pay upkeep on these stored units but you have to have them to assign specialized workers, who you do pay upkeep for.

I think I recorded and edited all in the same session. It really didn't take long to learn. I had always seen videos of people at lvl 500 being invincible so I knew it was possible... there weren't any guides though...it's amazing what bordom and tinkering can do.

All I can say is that during the first couple stages, I was able to flick them up pretty much as soon as I saw them. Perhaps getting rid of them as fast as possible prompts the game to send in more? A more probably reason my simple be that there is some randomness in the game mechanics. I can't say for sure but I would venture to say that that's probably why.

I don't know if you can get to the 'self-run' state with the Wii version or now. I do have it and have fiddled around with it but that's all. Search 'defend your castle wii' on youtube to find videos of people that managed to get very far...

For some reason, the game looks at the points you had at the beginning of the stage to determine if you have enough to pay for your guys at the end of the stage. It doesn't account for points earned during said stage.

However many spendable points you have at the beginning of the stage, that is the maximum you can spend on guys that stage.

You have to have the money to pay for all the workers you have in a given stage before that stage begins.

For example, if you start a round off with 5,000 spendable points then you must make sure that your total upkeep won't exceed 5,000 by adding to many workers during that round or you will lose some. It doesn't matter at all how many more points you earned during that stage.

If you start a round with hardly any points to spend, you will most likely lose everybody at the end.

This kinda sucks, you dont need more than 125 mages, and you dont need mroe than 75 craftsmen. I have one that has been going to 7 hours with me only looking at it to get to the next level and it has 100 mages 15 craftsmen and 1,000 archers.

I based my # of mages on being able to continually use the convert spell as fast as possible and never drain mana - I've always tried keeping it a little balanced but I suppose speciallizing in archers would be a great strategy as well.

It just allows you to make your own suicide bombers. Once you have it, you click on one of your avalible workers to send one and click it to detonate.

This is exactly like 'explotion at click' execpt you have to wait for him to get to where you want him and it costs one man.... so getting demo lab won't help much.

Nope! You only have to pay upkeep for Archers, Mages, and Repairmen. You can have as many stocked workers as you want without paying for them.

Great Guide, too bad i was on stage 36 when i came and found it, already had done this, but ive discovered your way, after awhile provides little challenge.

So for those of you who like alittle bit of challenge, get about 400-500 Archers around stages 30-40, 150 craftsmen [optional] and about 150 mages, then compete with the archers to convert. This is what ive been doing for 30 or so levels, since between conversion and archers, nothing reachs my castle anymore.

It may be because of how many archers you have hired and when.

I made a small observation that you do not get any points for kills from arrows... I'm not sure because I haven't done this in a while, but perhaps by lvl 10, the accumulated points from not using archers at all may be a figure near 13k...

Also consider that any archers you do hire, you have to pay for, so the longer you can last the more points you can save for later.

If it's not the archers, then I don't know...

How ever much your units cost at the of a stage, you must have had that amount at the start of that same stage. The game does not consider points earned on that stage.

I don't know why it does this, I know it makes no sence. Computers are stupid... need to be told everything... =P

Know how mnay you hire, the costs, your points, etc. Also, if you buy anything, make sure you still have plenty to pay for upkeep.

Good question! I have wondered that myself and I have never found anyone claiming to max out on units. I also got more then 1000 units at one point and the last digit hidden becuase the number gets bigger then the window it's in.

You bring up a valid point but I disagree about an unused archery range being a waste. I accually see it the opposite, as I do not hire anyone until a certain stage, it really doesn't matter when the archery range comes out as long as it is out before I hire anyone. And because I am not hiring anyone immediately, I have more to invest on later when there is a greater need.

btw my castle is on lvl 42 with 200k health, 400 mages, 400 craftsmen, 1123 archers. you don't need as many craftsmen if you have tons of archers

I reccommend that on lvl 10 instead of buy mana pool, get a x10 defense so that way people who aren't that good at clicking the guys, will have more points for when they do buy the mana thing, at lvl 11
