@MO3MINI no the briggs. its splash lubricated and if u run it that low no oil gets to the top end. the flymo would be fine running at 4 rpms if it could because its 2 stroke right?
that was quite a trip, I envy you buying the hayterette for £10 I love those mowers. I ran one for a long time with an IC engine on it same deck as you have. they are such a good mower.
@chox2001 yep it was a lengthy trip, got lost on the last 5 miles, ended up having to call his mum to come and get us lol the engine on the hayterette is pretty worn im sure you saw the smoke but its such a cool mower, were i live they get bid up a lot because there rough cut mowers good for ditches and alockments
To stop my engines jumping about I mount them on a wooden frame and use 4 or 6 rubber door stops as feet. 4 x on small light engines and 6 on heavier engines. Cheapo engine sledge. Works a treat and the feet/door stops are about 35p each. Single wood screw fitting.
@MakeDoAndMend1 cheers, i rarely run the engines on the concrete, i normally run them on the grass. Had to choice at mrmoterkids house as we would have ruined his mums decking lol i got another water pump which has rubber feet but it has one missing :( where could i get some of them for other engines?
I like the preparation video before you set off :D, there's my scooter lol, I looked really wide in the Ryobi bit :/ lol. "Nooooo" XD, wow, the Hayterette smoked even more than when I had it! Lol, it had plenty of oil last time I checked, just the wrong kind. :L
@MrMoterKid lol it was a great action packed day, cant wait to do it again, if you came up to me it would take all day to start all the engines here lol
dont run those motors low for long becuase it will starve the topend from oil
