But as far as listening to 'better' music it all depends on the person. Talent isn't the only aspect of music. I prefer the band I Hate Myself over Tommy Emmanuel, yet Tommy is much more talented.

Each to their own but honestly how does one come to enjoying breakdowns? It's like hearing another pop song on mtv that sounds the same as all the rest. Breakdowns seem so predictable, boring and corny. Brutality shouldn't be attempted by tuning your guitar down to the pitts of hell and just hitting that one chord, giving it some weird timing and gradually slowing it down. Brutal metal is BLAST BEATS, CHUNKy riffs mixed with riffing picked at the speed of sound that it sounds like a bee.
