  • smoke electronic cigarettes. No tar in your lungs and other the other smoke chemicals larry. You can extract nicotine from your tobacco plants and have a much healthier fix!

  • @foggymedia No thanks love raising my own tobacco!

  • Do you sell seeds and how much

  • @ScarfaceSinaloa I give seeds away to my subscribers!

  • Sixty seven dollars a pound? I dont think so

  • @cbohar84 Oh yes! cigarette tobacco went to 67 dollars then a lot of companies relabeled it to say pipe tobacco which is taxed at a different rate! 24 dollars.

  • Right on. This was the first profitable crop grown on North American soil. even if you don't smoke, there's no crop more American than tobacco.

  • @oldstock1607 Tobacco was the number 1 exported crop from America for the first 100 years of our country!!! You are so right!!! Thanks Larry

  • larry did you say $67 per pound or 6 or 7 dollars O_O

  • @MrBuckwilliam It went from 14 dollars to 67 dollars then the tobacco companies relabeled it and called it pipe tobacco which is priced at a different rate now it is 24 dollars still to high when you can raise your own for free!!!!

  • It's probably better for you if you're going to smoke anyway. The kind of crap they put in the commercial tobacco is pretty awful.

  • @YoLninYo It is and it also is a great barter item just like silver, commodities or anything of value!

  • I attempted to grow my own two years ago... and aside from an aphid infestation towards the end(which infested my hot pepper plants, as well), the growing phase was a success. My plants were in semi-shade and ended up about five feet tall. My major issue was finding a way to shred the leaves once cured... not to mention the curing process itself. What I ended up with was fairly harsh, but still smokable. Note: DO NOT use a food processor to try and shred tobacco!

  • @Mystickneon Pasta maker works great! I had aphids too don't worry they don't hurt anything! Try virginia gold very smooth!

  • there trying to excessive tax premium cigars too, its well known that the added chemicals in cigarettes is what bad for u other wise its just organically grow tobacco leafs so if ppl dont stand up to stop excessive taxation on tobacco then how long before they are excessivley taxing something you do enjoy like wine ,or soda pop or bacon or butter cause the government has declared it " bad for you "how did the human race ever survive before the government came along to tell us whats best for us ?

  • @Maddawwg45 You are so right!!! They want to decide about everything!!! What they deem good or bad for you!!! People have got to wake up before all our freedoms are gone!!

  • @larrylhall remember this poem First they came for the communists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak out because I was Protestant.

Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.

  • @Maddawwg45 You are so right!!!!!!!!

  • @larrylhall dont wait to speak out people or when they come for you or your things u enjoy it will be to late cause they'll be no one left with any freedoms to speak out for you !!

  • @Maddawwg45 You are right on!!!!!!

  • Is it just your state the price of tobacco is going up or is it all the states?

  • @wtf0804 All states you can bet in the next couple of years it will really go up as straped as the states are for money!!!

  • I'm not a smoker so if this is a stupid question I apologize ahead of time. Why not plant a half dozen cotton plants and use the raw cotton as a filter and stop buying the tubes? I picture a piece of rolling paper, fluff of cotton at one end, and the tobacco the rest of the way. Possible?

  • @Keesolan I suppose anything is possible

  • not cigarette smokers here, and am always hoping no one does, but! over the years we smoke and enjoy cigars and pipes. I know, perhaps only minimally better in the amount of bad side effects. Anyway, we had fooled with growing some plants indoors this year. Will be posting an update soon. Yep, when it comes to being self sufficient, that is award winning what you are doing.

  • @usframe Thanks and good luck!

  • How do you cure it? I thought you need to heat this 24 hrs to cure it..

  • @ncautoman57 there are many ways to cure your tobacco click on the tab under my video and you will see links to how to grow tobacco forums there are full details there! thanks Larry

  • Great video, Larry. I'm not a smoker but have friend that do and I will tell them to check your video out. My brother adopted and adapted your gutter growing system and has a system set up in the basement. With LED UFO lighting the plants are doing great. Peppers blooming and tomatoes fruiting!

  • @apaulanarius That is fantastic! Glad he is using the idea! And thanks for the nice comment! Yes share the video with your friend! Thanks again Larry!!

  • You're awesome Larry. Thank you for the videos you post. They are appreciated!

  • @racekitty Well thank you!!!! I really appreciate that!!! Larry

  • Larry I don't smoke but I raise a few plants in my garden for the beautiful flowers that bring humming birds and bees. You are right about if worst comes to us in USA we can trade tobacco. I told my daughter have some coffee also on hand even if you don't drink the stuff . Its good to trade. There is always call for tobacco. And nothing is added . Nice video!!

  • @37crackerjack Thanks for your comment! I hope that people start raising more food and stock up on the essentials!!!

  • very interesting video.... I liked it even though I myself am completly against smoking.... that is your own choice, and I think as long as prices on tabacco keep rising, more people will hope on the bandwagon. just like the bandwagon for growing your own organic prosuce. the stuffs just so dang expensive!

  • @MIgardener Thank you for you comment! That is why we need to raise as much food as we can and stock up on coffee and other things!
