  • She's so cute

    and the song is great

  • i was hearing Introducing dionne bromfield and whoa la

  • awesome

  • Mz. Small,

    Great memory!

  • You did set the world of the early '60s on fire; destructive you, Millie Small! Good evening to you, wherever you are.

  • She's so cute. One of her best. Wish I had heard this years ago.

  • shit I'm falling in love with her voice

  • just luv it william/henry

  • Just simply love her

  • Europe was starved for American and British hits to quickly be transalted and produced as local language recordings. Many big name recording artists were contractually obligated to record their own hits in foreign languages. Johnny Cash, Brenda Lee, Connie Francis, Peggy March, even Motown Groups sang in German, French, Italian, Japanese. In those days the popularity of recording artists was "milked" for every drop by producers. Millie was HOT, and exploited for all she was worth!

  • If Millie was able to make the scene on a national level in '62 or '63, her songs would have been bigger hits. Same with The Pixies Three.

  • Yes mr henry that's her dad she milly small ah sing about she love him every day wow real jamacian girl

  • @MrLarrygold Henry is a dog you twat hahaha , get it rite!!!!

  • @DRUMMERxGURU no hes not hes my boyfriend

  • @MrLarrygold @MrLarrygold A litttle puppy on the streeet"""""" Oh oh henry ,Its great when you actually listen to words, You should try it sometime , Dork¬¬!!!!!!!!

  • Product of the third world - Jamaica. Might be annoying for some but I love it. Grew up on it.

  • 1:46 de bonheur !!!! rude girl ska ......

  • Um, this isn't Reggae, it's Ska, which predates reggae by at least a decade. Millie Small was an original, along with Phyillis Dillon, Laurel Aitkin, Symarip and Desmond Dekker. Ska was and still is much more fun to dance to.

Bands like Bad Manners and the Trojans paid homage to the early ska bands. Skatalites being #1 Ska band ever.

  • OH God....her voice is annoying. It just pierces your ears but thank goodness for the smooth background. I love the older reggae music for it was so much it made you want to get up and dance. My dad is from the West Indies and whenever my town had a celebration for this culture back in the 60s it was fun. Nowdays its too much violence with the young and it ruins the celebration.

  • really, the voice by itself sounds totally anoying... Yet, all together, it's pretty hilarious...

  • Millie always make me smile :)

  • Who's the bari player? Anyone know?

  • Sure, folks. It's boppin-good early ska! No doubt on THAT backbeat. Personally I like the tight bari filling in some of the voids.

  • Millie is class

  • Great. I remember Millie from my very young days! "My Boy Lollipop" etc., etc...

  • ESTE TEMA ESTA BUENISIMO HERMOSO

  • holy shit that's kind of ska!

  • What is the date of this song?

  • I have heard the song many times, but didn't know who song it. Tonight was the first time I got to see her face.

  • nice

  • spot on love it,thanks to dave for the share :)

  • just lovely!

  • i love ska

  • Girls Are A girl. thats the one.

  • Oi ! This tune rules !! Long live Ska

  • Irie ja music of the 60's! bad nuh ras!!!

  • I'm Back Now, Millie!! I Love You!!! - Poor Little Willie :)

  • LOV E YO U

  • millie small where from milk river and my mother were from alley clarendon and where 10 yrs old when my boy lollipop can an hit jamaica where excited because in those days that did`nt happened too often . but millie had an article in the british papers about jamaica and where she came from that had jamaicans upset. and that could be a big part of her down fall. we never knew what happened to her good luck millie.

  • hi ..beautiful millie live's in london and is well i hear she is going to do a show when ? im sorry dont know yet if i can let you know ...

beauitful lady meet her in london 70's and then in the 80's and i was so pls'ed she remeber me from the time in the 70's at a party so i was so smiling ...

bless to you & all ..

    sweetbaldy ...

  • The World was Cheated-Part1: I never saw Millie perform until recently when I wondered if the woman singing that great old catchy hit My Boy Lollipop could be as cute as her voice. I was shocked to find that she isnt just cute but absolutely adorable and overflowing with charisma and talent. I cant think of any recording star who flirted with the camera so often and effectively. Her expressions are priceless.

  • People shouldn't believe what the papers say!

  • hi what are they saying now grrr the papers ....

i live in australia so i dont hear much now about millie ....thank you

    bless sweetbaldy ...

  • The World was Cheated - Part2: Her dazzling smile, unique dancing, and her songs bring joy to your heart. And that baby voice makes you melt. An even bigger surprise is how great her other songs are.. All of them should have been big hits. The world was cheated out of hearing these jewels and Millie was cheated out of getting the recognition she deserved. Some stupid record distributor or some other powerful jerk must have blocked this from happening. I cant think of any other reason

  • She is so cool

  • A groovy chic with a groovy sound. We love you Millie ;-)

  • es genial !!!!!!!!

  • ska ska ska yeah fi real

  • como mola la puta kancion

  • She sings like a mouse :P XD

  • Is she English? I think I hear an accent in her voice. The music sounds like the music that inspired Ska. How long ago was this?

  • this is from the 1960's.

  • This is Ska, Einstein xD

  • Jamaican, mon. :)

  • She is jamaican but she migrated to England

  • I haven't heard this song in over 40 years. Best frozen.

  • ahah I love her.

She always sings about Candy =)

  • FANTASTIC! :)

  • This woman is a legend!!! 10 stars. Thanks for the fantastic post!

  • all too true. Now we get someone snarling obscenities on one note, to the sound of a computer thumping. But that happens to music - it hits a wall and there's nowhere to go. So they turn up the noise and tell the youth it's the latest - and they buy it. That's stealing their right to hear real music.

Just fun this - but Milly was so gorgeous

  • I disagree

As a DJ there is no greater thrill than turning every thing down and building just before a drop before turning everything back up and watching everyone go crazy

Obviously there is a lot of crap out there

but I think it comes down to personal preference, I always feel music shouldn't be a burdon to listen to so if you're feeling uncomfortable listening to something, turn over

  • hahaha her voice is very funny

  • muy preciosa! :D

  • fantastic........good beat...fantastic

  • awesome voice, lol

  • If this were released today, I'd buy it. Actually, I'd run for it. A heck of alot better than that garbage on the radio today.

  • Another of Millie's hit songs. A voice that is unmistakably sweet and Jamaican. We used to groove to her songs in Jamaica in the sixties. Hope she's doing OK wherever she is today

  • @eego1

I believe Millie is OK and living in the United Kingdom.

  • @eego1 She lives in South London and looks great!!!

  • Cute little girl with a powerful voice. The

    60's were so much fun.

  • i agree so much 60's glittering, most fun, sophisticated and many more positive driscription for the years 30s up to the 60s and 70s! :)
