  • How do you replace the outter door trim? i have a 4door and the trimming is like a rippled trim, i bought the car a while ago and the door and trim is crunched a little bit, if i took off the trim peice, replaced it, and bent the little dents out myself, it would look fine. do you just have to take off door panel and get to it from inside the car?

  • @Noobass2oooo If you take the door panel off there may be some fasteners inside of the door that hold it onto the door. Some manufacturers also use 3M double sided tape to hold door trim and ground effects on. Hope this helps you out.

  • I simply can't believe you're telling me how to do this for free. All I need now is to find out how to replace the side view mirror and replace the oil gasket and I'm home free (until the wheels go out of alignment, which I think they're doing).

  • Okay so he didnt tell us to take off the backing to the Handle... But he tells us to put it back on ;) He skipped a step! Thanks though It was helpful, thankfully I knew how to take the backing to the handle off before I seen this :)

  • @KaMiLeUn On 2:22 in the movie he shows you how to remove the screws holding in the bezel around the inner door handle, if this is the part that you were referring too. It should come off pretty easily.

  • Thank you very helpful

  • Awesome......Saved Me on this one. Thanks!!!

  • So I can do the same process with taking off the back door panel?

  • @stinnett49 You would need to remove any of the trim pieces that hold the door panel on. Then pry the panel off of the door as shown in this video.

  • It would be nice if you could go "close up" on the removal of the wires and how you do that.??..I see you using a screwdriver and I hear a "click" but I have no clue where you pushed the screwdriver to be able to get them disconnected?? Anyone else out there,,,can you help??

  • How about for pontiac g6? I`m just wondering if the same step?

  • @jakardster The basics should be similar.Start with removing all of the trim pieces, then the door panel screws.

  • What size speakers are in a 2001 pontiac grand am SE for the front n back??

  • @babyscorpio100 My guess if they're the same as a GT are 5.25 in the front & 6x9 in the back.

  • @babyscorpio100 Actually the ones in the front are 4x6. I'm looking forward to replacing mine too along with the 6x9 speakers in the back as soon as I can figure out how to do it myself.

  • hey awesome video dude! one ? tho... i both white clips on the bottom of my window are broken how do i fix this? gotta get whole new window? it looks like they're kind of welded right to the window thanks dude

  • My grand am is manual window. Is there any difference in the steps?

  • @nicklouder Yes, when you take the door panel off, you need to remove the manual crank handle first.

  • I have a 95 grand am, will this all work the same?

  • Is removing the door panel for a 98 chevy malibu pretty much the same?

  • @TheWasatch It will be similar, look for and remove screws and fasteners of that sort then pull the panel away from the door.

  • Thanks. Appreciate the help

  • Nice job! My roommates window fell off the track and I wanted to fix it for her for Christmas...Pretty cold and rainy to have your window open all the time. Your video will help me get that done!

  • nice butt

  • @ilikeamanda lol yeah kind of embarassing, sorry about that. My wife likes this video as well.

  • i have a question. How do you prevent the dash above the speedometer from flaring up? i noticed on this one it's starting to do it just like mine is doing..please let me know.

  • @capricorn7086 Keep it out of the sun as much as possible. Buy one of those shades you put up in the windshield, that will help.

  • I was looking for someone that installed new 6x9's in a 2005 grand prix but since I watched te video I'll rate it. Well done.
