Lions, tigers and leopards belong to the family Panthera and DO NOT PURR at any time in their life. Only cougars, which are in the family Felis, same as house kitties, actually purr.

beleve it or not, cheetas are friendlyer than alot of domesticated cat species, or dog for that matter.

A guy down here in Florida keeps pet tigers and they

are like huge house cats with him. So far over 20 years

They still CAN bite, but they know that humans aren't food and they're not gonna attack anything that's not a threat.

Few cats can purr- Housecats mostly, and some large cats. Lions and tigers and most other large cats lack a small flap in their throat that, for other types of cat, would vibrate, allowing them to purr. Still, cats who can't purr often chuff or make almost a growling sound as a replacement.

I would consider the majority of cats to be very similar. The responses they're getting are exactly the same as when I deal with my house cats. If you know feline body language and you maintain awareness that you won't just get scratched if the cat gets upset, I don't see anything dangerous about this. Happiest cheetah I've ever seen :-)
