i want to learn this song extremely bad. I'm still new but I think if I knew what notes to play I could practice it and get it. Any help would be great!
Tony my friend! Its been far too long. Your playing on this tune is spectacular as usual, thanks in advance for the compping pattern you lay down under the guitar solo. I'll be stealing that one :-) that is genius!
Stop on by my You Tube page, screen name " tripharmonica" and say hi.
You are lucky to have such a fine guitarist who is interested in playing traditional music. If I had a friend like that I would never stop playing. :-)
I play all kinds of fiddle tunes but have noone to back me up like that. You play whiskey before breakfast quite a bit differently than I do. You sound great together. I am jealous of your accompaniment.
hi i was just practing some fiddle tunes for harmonica. I was wondering if there was a tuning i could try besides richter that might help my bluegrass playing? Something that would give a song like cluck old hen the feel like the fiddle gives it. Let me know if you could help
I am guessing this harmonica is tuned to major cross, since that is the tuning Tony developed. I just tried jamming along with my harp in D--this harp is great for Celtic--I have a video up using this and other odd tunings (no offense Tony--you da man).
Very well played. I am just starting the harmonica, and want to play with country and bluegrass, so this is good proper inspiration. Thanks for posting!
nice video.

Melody Maker would probably work too.

Correct! I'm using a G harmonica, tuned to Major Cross. The Melody Maker tuning would work as well. Thanks for the comment!

That's so cool, you cross tuned the harmonica? I didn't know that was even possible.
