those were actually all awesome moments, but if I had to add one more, to would be when Kitan sacrifices himself to save everyone, and he does something that Kamina and Simon both had to work so hard to do. and he even does it better! the epic music that plays, and Kitan's awesomeness alone makes it my personal favorrite! if anybody feels the same way, like away!!

All in all, if an anime is going to be more serious, I would go with the subbed, but if it is more about being funny, the Dubbed versions can be equally good. Haruhi and Lucky star are both great subbed and dubbed.

Let me just say that I watched the Dub first, and it was still the most epic anime that I have ever scene. Besides, there is just something about hearing "Just who the Hell do you think I am?!?" in English.

There are four animes that I would say should be watched subbed:

Toradora, Zero No Tsukaima, and Shakugan no Shana - Because they share the same voice actress for the female leads. This is cool to hear.

Clannad - just trust me.

The English translation is shit!

It completely lacks the spirit of the original.

There is no soul where it should be, and because of that, the message of Tengen Toppa, the message of Simon the Driller is lost to everyone.

The true soul of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is the very soul of humanity. To replace the original voice is to censor and change the message is to bring death to the ideals of TTGL. You bastards dont understand Kamina. You never have.
